In the late 1980s and through the 90s, I made it to Yosemete a number of times for landscape photography. What folks say is correct. There is nowhere else which condenses the opportunities and variety into such an available experience. More simply, it's hard to come away with a bad photo, yet the opportunity to do something new and different is boundless. My last trip was in a January about 20 years ago, looking for those snowy landscapes. turned out that it had not snowed for 4 weeks, but I still got some nice shots. I prefer Yosemete in the Fall and Winter. The tourist conjection is mostly gone. The Fall colors are great, as is the snow in Winter. Spring is cold, wet, and has a beaten down look about it, and Summer is packed with tourists. For me. it's a 1,000 mile drive each way. but worth it.

Great video! I'm glad somehow the algorithm gods brought me here. What a great opportunity to be able to catch the first snow while the trees still had color.
