J'adore le "Girl from Ipanema" de Frank complètement dissonant. On peut remarquer tout le sérieux du Boss pendant les répétitions avec l'humour en prime.

In tears again. That was so beautiful. FATHER, thank you for the gift of Frank. Dweezil as well, it seems arrogant to say it. But, here goes. For people that don't take the time to listen, they miss out on one of the greatest musician composers to have ever lived. I am so grateful for the opportunity to continue to hear Frank's work.

gorgeous bit of footage. fiddling with the synclavier, teaching ed mann, fooling with scott thunes... and then sketching out 'zoot allures' in the most beautiful way. leading from the front as he always did when he had a guitar in his hand. sorely missed!

Just watched show about Sloatman putting 2 or 3 band eq and preamp mic pre from some famous console so you plug straight in and its onboard so 36db gain onboard with Q
or tweaze knob and it just fine tunes the sweetspots in Zoot so he can push the clean boosting till it pushes the chord into 2nd 3rd order harmonics or sustain a chord and bloom the notes so if you watch hes adjusting it so they placed a mark on the stage where hes in line with 3 marshalls or say acoustics all over stage with 5 band eqs on them all set the same
so everyone plays the same rigs and Frank has them all over so no matter where on stage he was he could get that dialed in but they set it up to be where ever from the wireless and then it would do that anyway anywhere meaning instantly fine tune the q and start sustaining.
I use axe fx 2 and dialed in an amp I always wanted already but though oh I need to open up
an eq setup like a Console and adjust the mids and highs to go into the sustain or sweet spots
with minor adjustment to Q and I push it till it starts doing it you can breathe on the strings and be thinking the harmonic order you want and hum whistle the note and blow across strings and it goes right into the 2nd harmonic order and then you adjust your picking or strums to almost too lose on pick glissando and it just rings like a bell now I dont have a q knob which tightens the 3band or between highs and mids to get it to bloom.
but you do it with volume and bringing tone up and it starts doing it then its all touch at the guitar and how much light handed work you do all dynamics. For the Zoot tone,

Its kinda sad how millennial musicians will never live during a time where just playing in an Artist/Musician/Composers band automatically makes the musician world renowned for his/her musicianship and the ability to play the most difficult music in the world,I'm 76 yrs old & in my time none of the greats like Dizzy Gillespie,Ray Charles etc carried the same musical weight as the creator of fusion jazz Miles Davis or Frank Zappa .
