Port Belmont Power Plant, BC

At the head of 13 mile long Surf Inlet. Protected kayaking around 2 waterfalls, a dam, and power plant that served the Belmont-Canadian mining camp (the most productive gold mine in Canada in 1920). Cougar, Bear, and Deer Lakes connected after the dam was built in the 1900's to ferry ore.
