- Film & video production vehicle like the one that Tim Wilson from Cyberstorm Digital is building might just be the perfect filmmaking tool.

I had a chance to meet up with Tim Wilson, Chris Downing and Derek Allen to talk about their new mobile command center. This is still a work in progress, so make sure to check back on their website for any updates cyberstormdigital.com/

Love the plant in the van window. Thanks for finding and sharing what these guys are doing.
I like the simplicity. He doesn't use any more gear in the editing/streaming/switching bay than is required to perform the task. Most of us have thought about doing this but were deterred about ROI issues and theft risk while he did it and created opportunities that would not have come to fruition otherwise.
Keep it simple... Love it
Love it, it is my dream to do one, thanks Tom.
I always had such a thing in mind and have Been scouring the met finally someone made a video on it!!!
Great stuff Tim keep it up 👍🏾
Awesome video Tom!
Keep doing awesome thing cousin Tim. This van is amazing people. I got a tour and I want another. Super cool van and a super great team.
This is so sick!!
Way to go, Tim!
hahaha....very nice....I've been thinking to have this kind of RV+Production Office. As far as I can see, there are so many demands for this kind of vehicle. I can't wait to see them develop more~! Thank you for awesome video~!
Nice job. I’m glad it I could help out.
Tim, this is Awesome!
To say that this is impressive is an understatement.
Jacob Roberts thx Jacob
Hey Tom, love your content! I'm a filmmaking based in Washington D.C and Maryland. Glad to have you around!
This is awesome!
Love this
Excellent been wanting to do this for years, one day.....one day.
Thank you, Also would using the SanDisk Extreme Pro Cfast cards with read 525 MBs/sec and write 450 MBs/sec speed be alright for recording raw 4k 60p on the Ursa mini
Ideally put your roof solar panels on a rotating base that automatically tracks the the 🌞Sun and automatically tilts for max reception.
Remote camera crane on back end of roof?
Nice! Is the net fast enough for streaming hd?
I like to ask a question, if you can help me with that.Does a sensor size matter for a theater release... Does they check something while certifying your feature or short film....Coz, no doubt u get better result with full frame but some APSC cameras and Micro 4 third also produce great dynamic range and clarity..... please advise.
This is pretty cool. Although I was expecting to see something more like what the thumbnail displayed the mobile editing and streaming van is an amazing idea.
Thanks! It is what the thumbnail shows. I recorded this video when the build was still in progress. You should check out the current status on Tim's website. He recently posted the new upgrades he added. He also has a working dual screen that hides and slides out of the desktop when you press a button.
Tom Antos oh wow that is amazing, I will definitely be looking at the updates that he has made. Thanks again Tom for sharing this video.
What are the plans for reinforcing the roof prior to the additional weight of observation deck, solar panels, gear, and people?
I am also working on plans for a mobile office/grip/broadcast/DIT/editing van with observation deck, awning, and solar power. A high roof and low load floor are in my plans. (Just one high enough for people to be able to stand up. Too high however makes it difficult for observation deck accessibility.)
I like how you set up your security cameras because loading and off loading equipment for security issues is a PITA.
Archie Pina go to aluminess.com They have a great selection of reinforced roof racks just for these type of scenarios
Hey, love your content. Just a quick doubt, do URSA MINI 4k and 4.6k have the same kind of cooling system for the sensor or is it any different?
It looks the same to me but without opening the camera I can't confirm it 100%. Thanks
There are now Green colored panels to receive UV light even on over cast dsys.
Mannn dat van.... Gottt dammmm
Make sure you can tilt your solar panels or you will only get a small percentage of solar power...like 20%, or make them mobile on a 30ft cable and put them in the sun and park in the shade.
I want to hear that Bigfoot story!
BuildABergGroup We were five hours deep into the woods of Idaho no other cars in either direction for hours it was about three in the morning when my self and my copilot saw what appeared to be a 20 foot weeping willowIn the shape of a man with his back turned and as we passed we both saw what looked like a head turner as the headlights passed bye
I have the Mercedes sprinter mobile editing station i had customized last year.
Care to share some photos?
And it's a Ford transit. Yay. :)
Great video Tom and Tim! I like where it’s going and it’s nice to edit anywhere and have nice monitors for clients to review footage in a comfy setting.
I know there are probably going to be those privilege Cali wannabe/Xsport kids on here b*tching because it’s not a mini-house/snowboarding/treehouse van 😹 - call the whaaambulance kids cuz it isn’t that - this is different - this is FILM LIFE.
“Well that’s what i want to do, i always want to innovate stuff that hasn’t been done”
No bathroom toilet? :'-(
THE MIKEY MIKE CHANNEL just open a door 😂
Hmmm interesting..... if only me had the moolah for this lol
Yes, yes, go out and make some cash.
Dont say Washington DC, it was filmed out side of DC! Was born in DC and still here.
Here's another pretty similar setup I found from another production crew (Windy Films) from a couple years ago.

They had a much more detailed in-depth tour online as well but it was taken down for some reason. It was on the Cinematography Database channel from back in 2016.
1st like
eyyy dat artlist music haha
It's a tv truck, thats what it is. lol. My friend has a tv trailer, and i work on trucks a little more advanced then these to do most television sports or live events.
Yeah but it's his TV truck and not 1 that he simply works on, lol.
Great video Tom. Great truck Tim. Very inspiring.
No offense but trash build... there's soooo many videos on how to upfit vans DIY style and do a professional job. If they can make it like the 3D graphics in the beginning, it'll be great. As for now though it's a meme rig.
Wtf dude. It’s a build in phases and priority is always business first, van life is second. Provide him the time and money to prioritize a DIY build out. He is learning, and I’ve learned some things from his build that are not present in countless van conversion videos.
Well what do ya know... I found that butthurt/privilege example I mentioned before folks 😹 #TrollsOnTrolls
Archie Pina thank you kind sir! Glad it help some and you enjoyed! You rock
@@TheCleverCarbuncle @Conner Coleman just a sad likely hater. he is just butt hurt. Am 30 turning 31 this year and have had a drawing of me wanting to do one for my business since i start 5 years ago. and to see other embarking on the idea let me know my dream and vision was not so far-fetched. Well done Tim may God continues to bless your hardwork.
