Netanyahu (Israel) is much, much more of a killer than Hamas. So far, Hamas has killed 1,457 Israelis. On the other hand, Israel has killed over 31,000 Palestinians (mainly women and children). Currently, over 1,900,000 Palestinians are displaced within the pure waste land of Gaza with very minimal shelter, food and water. Netanyahu has the clear support of the Israelis in a modern electoral system. The degree to which Hamas has the electoral support of Hamas is not at all clear since the democratic processes there are sketchy. There are only 14 million Palestinians in the world maybe as many as 5 million of whom live in Gaza. Given the experience of the Jewish people during WWIl, one might think the Israelis would show more understanding of the plight of the Palestinian people. Even more ironic is the fact that the Jewish, Christian and Islamic religions have been intermingled from their beginnings as Abrahamic religions. It's now essentially fratricide. Even as a nonbeliever in any God much less their common God, I can't help but pray "God have mercy on all of these your children's souls."

The mosques have been on Temple Mount for centuries. In 1947, the UN voted to divide Mandate Palestine into Jewish state and an Arab state. The Arab countries rejected the plan and invaded Israel. Fortunately, the Jews won. No, the Israelis are not trying to wipe out the Arabs of Gaza. They want to wipe out Hamas, the Islamic terror organization.
The fighting ends one one side can no longer fight.
