They do say though. Because the fact that the actual game was on ABC, they always say coming up next except on the west coast is your late local news over most of these ABC stations, and flip over to ESPN for SportsCenter.

When I was a young boy, I sat in michnichols' arena for game 4 of the 95-96 season, as a young man of 14 I watched Joe pass the cup to Ray in a series where the Avs came back to win game 7. This year, I watched these men fight for every ounce of that cup.
I have followed this team through thick and thin, and have since day one. Thank you Super Joe, for bringing this team together, thank you Gabriel, for your devotion to the game WE love, and your commitment to this franchise. Hats off to all the Tampa Bay Lightning fans for not booing when the ceremony was going on. While both Trophies being handed out I saw allot of them Clapping and cheering .That is Class act making Hockey a much better sport than it is. Also To the players especially Steve Stamkos who was showing his pride for the game and congratulating Avalanche even tho he just lost .He is a great captain for good reason. Players who look for reasons and excuses why they lose are sore sports. And He is far from that Tampa is lucky to have him. And now to see my team being the only team to win all of there Championship games. And a hand full of other records makes me so grateful to be a Colorado Avalanche Fan.

In 1993 it was the year Bettman, the big shot American got to be commissioner of the league. And since he's been there, Canada hasn't been allowed to win a cup. It's rigged.

And for those of us watching in Latin America (and maybe other parts of the world), the stream on Star+ ended BEFORE the Cup was presented! An entire region of the world (at minimum) didn't get to see the Cup handed out. That is IDIOTIC! Next year, I'm better not paying for my subscription, and just finding alternative ways to view the games 😒

@@jasonthieme8926 it never grows any larger though at this point. It slowly got bigger over the years adding rings, until they reached this size. Now when they run out they add a new ring and remove the oddest.
The longest a team is on the cup is 65 years then they get removed to make room for more espn did a video about it 😄
They just had to remove a ring full of nanes after the 2018 Stanley Cup winner Washington Capitals which was 4 years ago, the current bottom ring has 9 more years worth of winners including this year's before it has to remove another ring.
