    Oh my gosh!! So simple and amazing! I am a beginner in fly fishing and fly tying, and I will definitely be trying this soon! It's looks great, it's simple, and I bet it catches tons of fish! Thanks for the video!

    Used this exact pattern on Black Friday this year and released a 9" and 13" at 36 , size 18, oh what fun the Mad is in the winter. Nice video, nice tie.

    Thx! Will b either buying these from u or making them with ur suggested materials by the end of May. Best way to fish these on the Mad will be my question when i stop in.

    Im new to fly tying but i love using cadis green for nymphs and jigs. Ive been tyimg something super similar to this

    Hello Ron at MRO great job with everything. Love this pattern.
    One possible suggestion: Zoom in on fly at 90⁰ angle. (my eyes aren't as good as they once were) Thanks for sharing and look forward to more videos from your channel.

      Brian's book on the Mad River, which was published in 1996 has been out of print for a long time. He's working on an update and hopes to have it done this Fall.
      It will of course be available in our shop and on our website.
      (BTW, if we promote it on CZcams, it's available on our website.)

    How much difference is there between small and brassie wire? Would it hurt the pattern to use small instead?

      Mad River Outfitters idk but I’m broke so I’m running around my house and I found a bead that looked like the one you had and used it and i was pretty happy with the overall color and price and looks thank you for making these have you done a egg one yet if so can you send me the link I would like to make one I heard that trout like eggs and that is what is mostly in the lake I go too thanks

    I tie the same style of fly for 10 years, but I use a Arizona Simi seal.

    Uv glue makes the worst patterns look good .u cant go wrong with it

      @@Madriveroutfitters look up Madison River in Montana and the RAM caddis. Its been a very popular fly on that river for like 50 years.
