The whole point of the video is to show that the core idea behind Glass is to help you focus on what you want, and do that limitlessly - not be that focus. She consistently uses Glass as a means to find what she loves, and in doing so creates a world of her own imagination, wherein she explores the internet through CZcams videos, and makes the internet physical - another core concept of Glass. Very cleverly done, and expertly performed and directed, in my opinion.

I don't understand what people are expecting from this. It is FKA twigs showing how she can look up dancing styles on google glass to incorporate into her own style. All she did was do that in a creative way. Where in this did you find "confusion," "stupidity," or (my personal favorite) "proof that the world is going to hell"? She's a talented former professional dancer, and musician with an album that many critics are calling the best of the year. So. Where is your hate stemming from? Would you rather her sit in a chair and talk about how great google is? Because that's not what google paid her for.

Music + Art = Artpop? Oh no. This is way better than that. If anything deserves the title of Artpop it's this, an ACTUAL combination of art and music put together and displayed in a performance art piece. I loved it.

Google approached me and asked me to make this ad about Google Glass. And my first reaction was like, "Why would I do that? That's ridiculous!" And then they asked me again, and I was like, "No. Stop hitting me up!" And then they asked again, and I thought, "May be I'm setting too many boundaries on myself." Because I'm sitting here with all my cool friends, and all my cool clothes, and I need to branch out of that. That corporation is one of the biggest organizations in the world. Not everyone wants to be a starving artist.
it's just we're all believing/pretending she's doing it for the art of it or for the fun of it. when, all in all, it's just a velvet paved path for money and stardom - associating yourself with big corporations and getting known that way.
Yea, some take more difficult roads, and i think some starve for art, but there are also others who manage to keep a satisfying healthy lifestyle without indulging in compromises. But that means you're an artist, maybe a big one, but never a huge one unless you play the commercial and corporate card.

Who's "we"? If you think her credibility as an artist is tainted by the fact she did this that's on you and the art snobs. Fact is, google repeatedly contacted her and she recognized that she needed to drop her ego and go for an opportunity to collab with them. Her music speaks for itself anyways.

She's not compromising her sound, her art or her style. She's simply putting it on a bigger platform. Why would you want to toil away in anonymity forever? This is one of the few FKA vids I understand. I liked it. Its always interesting when an artist leaves room for the audience to interpret their work, decide what it means to them. Gives us some thinking to do. I think some people are so uncomfortable with music/ art like this because they prefer to be fed a message, ya know, told what to think or feel. They think of the world in black and white, everything is or isnt for them and having to make an effort to understand something when its not spelled out to them is irri, so they prefer commercial music. And that's their prerogative.
But that's just my opinion.

I watched a couple of her videos and it was this that made me see how amazing her artistry is. I found her to be weird, unorthodox, out of the box, and at first I didn't like it but its normal human reaction to not like what we dont understand im open minded and it wasn't until I closed my eyes and really listened to her music that I found how wonderful it is. I like this video the most because I recognize the dancing (vogue hands, tutting, krumping) but now when I see her other videos I see them from a totally different perspective.
