@Damaon Get well bad part is nerve damage is called Nephropathy good part Damon it not life threatening bad part it hangs around it will not stop you in any way been dealing with that for 25 years just annoying. So stay strong keep doing as you do it will lesson over time some. Best advice i can give be positive.

Hey Damon, if you see this, try doing stretches for your rhomboids in your shoulders. There's a nerve in that area that gets pinched and causes pain and numbness. Happens to me all the time since I got hit by a drunk driver. The stretches help though. Best of luck!

Hope you get to the bottom of it Damon. I have similar injuries from being rear-ended as a delivery driver, later exacerbated by a fall, resulting in lower back/spinal injuries that cause nerve pain and numbness in my right arm. I have the first of several operations next year. Quite annoying, as I had built up strength and flexibility to deal with it the first time and was finally starting to feel normal, before the fall set me back and actually made it worse. All power to you mate!

First of all, glad you guys were safe from the fires and crazy California stuff. And hoping for speedy and complete recovery for Damon. You guys have always done crazy stuff with a wild group of friends. But something about the people around now makes for just the most fun. Skinny has always been a great addition to any video. And I think Mike might be such a new favorite because he is a very chill guy that can explain engineering concepts to a normal person, but he's lowkey just as nuts as everyone else. He's dad mechanic and crazy drift champ in one guy.

Getting 5 MRIs for non-life-threatening injuries in Canada would simply not happen, or would take 20 years.
The car accident happened in states. Not sure if California is an no-fault state, or not but either car insurance is picking up the bill. If it’s no-fault his insurance paying for it, and if it an at fault state the other guy insurance paying for it.
I can totally relate. I was involved in an accident a few years back (drunk guy jumped the lights and I went into him). Ended up with a dislocated shoulder & thumbs, shifted vertebrae in my neck and back, broke 3 ribs and ruptured my diaphragm, left lung paralyzed and a damaged knee.
Years later I have to deal with this pain 24/7

Damon...hope you feel better soon. As for the neuropathy - Ive had it for like 30 years and its a pain in the ass but doesn't really stop you from doing anything, so you can deal with it. I deal with it in my lower legs, mostly my feet. All that means for me is I cant ever walk barefooted so I always have my sandals on when Im walking. You got this bro!

You are looking good for 44 bro. When I was 46 I was healthy and livin my best life. I was traveling globally all the time with work and when home stateside I spent every weekend traveling to race open wheel with my then 17 year old son or supporting my then 15 year old daughter competing in equestrian eventing. Life was beyond good. And then one day out of nowhere I was told I will be dead in 3 years unless I qualify for and get a double lung transplant… and if I survive the procedure I have a 50% chance of living 5 more years. I didnt even smoke. Not even an occasional cigar or anything. I’m right at 3 years now and just got listed for transplant. I’m on o2 every day all day. I’m hoping this transplant is successful and life can get somewhat back to normal and I can live another decade or so after, given I’m younger than most transplant recipients and I will put in the work to survive. They say it takes a year to recover from the surgery, so I will be binge watching a lot of Essa’s build content while rehabbing!
With this, take your health seriously Damon. And also you Dave and Mike Essa too! Enjoy every day you get to do what you love with those you love. Having a tomorrow is not a guarantee.
Side note - I swear Lamborghini designed the Huracan, at least the 2021 Evo RWD for sure, to fit a D size oxygen bottle perfectly behind each seat head rest snugly tucked away without any movement at all. I suppose God knew I could only take so much. 😂 Ciao.

I'm going through similar issues. A lifetime of high energy sports filled with lots of small injuries has added up to numbness in my hands and shoulder pain that's being caused by arthritis and nerve damage in my neck and shoulder, I'm 41 and in good shape still but my lifestyle is catching up with me. What Damon described was going on with his shoulder while holding the camera is exactly what happens to me. Wish you luck with finding a fix.
I remember the 720 accident, I was embarrassed as I do love MOPARS but it doesn’t prevent stupid people to drive horsepower they can’t handle. Damon I hope that you will fully recover from your injuries…❤

Damon bro, my heart goes out to you. Been there too. I hurt my back lifting weights when I was 17. Sounds like you have disc damage. I personally never really recovered from that. It gets better, but disc damage is nearly permanent.
I feel ya man. I had to do an mri for 3hrs with my hands above my head. Was comfortable at first but after 30min my arms went numb and my shoulders hurt so bad. Feel better!

You have the starting of carpal tunnel syndrome, in your arms. I have it pretty bad, to point where I can’t sleep for days and it makes work unbearable some days! I got some meds to help but I get used to them in three weeks…. But I hope you get your shit figured out man! I need a surgery but have been waiting months to see the surgeon to get the surgery done and I’m on a waiting list that doesn’t have an eta. Love the content lately! Really been loving the f12 build! Keep it up boys!

Damon no BS I was rear ended 11-12 yrs ago and I have a lot of those same symptoms that you described in the video. I dealt with all of the Drs, Insurance, blah blah blah. It’s no fun it’s stressful. Fortunately I have really great days and unfortunately I have really bad days. I hope that you have some really awesome Drs that can really help you with this unfortunate part of your journey because it’s a long road brother. If it’s possible do everything you can to stay off the meds because once you start your body just requires more as time goes on. Take care of yourself. Love the channels
This is why you should drive with good seats. Them senna seats, would be the cause of the issues, during the accident. The stock seats would have helped lessen the pains, etc. I'm sure the insurance will cover any treatments. I hope the young guy who crashed into you, sees this, and thinks about his actions when driving.

Sorry to hear you're having medical issues. Hope all works out. I was in a car accident a few years ago and broke my wrists, and thought that was the only problem. Slowly over time I'm noticing more problems but insurance already paid out so I'm screwed. So never sign away anything for at least a year.
Damon, I'll keep you in my prayers buddy. I've had more that 20 MRI's. Fusion with fixation at L4/L5. I have the same problems with the pins and needles in my arms but they aren't suggesting surgery on that yet. I had a knee replacement 6 years ago and going to need it fixed soon. Just had another MRI on my hip and seeing a surgeon this Wednesday to see about a replacement. Take care of yourself now because it all compounds as you get older! Still paying the price from an accident 50 years ago!

I have lived in MRI machines since 2001. I've had 3 spine surgeries. 2 in my cervical spine and one in lumbar. Pain shoots down arms or legs with a pinched nerve. Was stuck in bed before each of the 3 surgeries. Could not sit or stand for months before each surgery. Have had countless spinal procedures during the past 23 yrs. Spine pain is no joke.

Yeah try batting Cancer since 2007!! I’ve probably had over 30 MRI’s, an easy 1,000 plus CT scans, more blood taken than what’s in your whole body and then there chemotherapy and radiation, surgeries and more!! But like I tell myself every morning “Stay Positive and Move Forward”!! #DDEFAM

Ive had so many body scans x-rays and mri scans ct scans etc you learn to deal with them over time but the longer ones suck especially when they give you the dye but the worst is the lack of music etc lying still for hours. Hope you get better its never easy living with pain and numbness issues.
