- With our Merchant site drying up we decided to hit a new river in hopes to find a new hot spot. We spent the entire day going from spot to spot and every spot was a bust. We often get comments like
How do you find these places?
Do you guys ever have off days?
You guys always find good stuff.
You should make a video and find nothing.
This is fake. Nobody finds this stuff

We set off with a plan and search for these places. A lot of times we strike out. I've had hundreds of days where I've came home empty handed. We don't usually make a video those days. This was a long tough day of trash until the LAST STOP of the day. It was the 9th inning with 2 outs and we returned victorious!!

You guys are awesome! I have only been watching for a couple months, but i went out and got a detector and ive been digging a bit with my 9 year old son. Sunday we found a 1944 silver quarter. And yesterday we found 2 merc dimes (1918& 1944) we were so stoked. Anyway thanks for the great videos every week! Nice work!

gavinator, congrats on your detector. It is a great way for father and son to explore together. I've been detecting for ten years now, and finding silver coins is my goal, every time I go out. And, yes , you found a great spot on youtube, the Hoover Boys are awesome.
I got a cheap Bounty Hunter Pioneer 202 for Christmas a few years ago and was testing it in the yard and found a silver Walking Liberty half dollar. Years ago in 1996 I found three nice heavy 14k gold rings in just over 30 minutes at a swimming hole on Toledo Bend Lake when they lowered the water level to work on the dam. Before that my best day was in the late 1970s when I found 1.75 in silver and an 18k England Air Force Base ring.
I did the same. Got me a Garrett at pro. Love it. Thanks hoover boys for getting me into this awesome hobby. Haven't found much yet just a bunch of junk. But still have fun doing it.

Dudes this episode was totally rad. The farm field you guys did like three years ago what are you got like 30 something coppers used to be my favorite wait now I’m wrong it was the episode where you Brad and Bobby pulled a bunch of Spanish out of a green grassy farmhouse yard next to a silo. Anyways this now is possibly my number one episode. No real relics where I live but I did find five gold rings and one day scuba diving with my excaliber. Haven’t been able to dive and detect because of health issues but I’ll get better and get back to it and dig at all. Thanks again fellas you made my day!

Your guys reaction was exactly like mine when I found my 8 reales, mine was on a river on shore it was a 1820 ferdinand 7th mexico mint. They are 90 percent silver so maybe the schmooze on Brad's coin was the copper in the coin leaching out. Either way 👍👍👍 and nice finds on the gold!

I have manyempty or trashy trashy days under my belt but then all of a sudden bam I find something remarkable. I love what you guys do. Ignore the haters and carry on.
Seeing the crust on it tells the story about it being there long.i would agree they should follow up on that. Upstream treasure box is waiting to be found.

Looks like a great historical river crossing path. I would do some looking upstream for a treasure box someone lost.Those have been there for a long time.

I haven’t had any time to do what I love this summer/fall. I was super excited to get my detector and fishing poles out, but I needed to save more money to move out. Don’t have a lot of time having two jobs. So I stopped watching for a while, I got jealous of the cool stuff you guys find. But I’m glad I’m back now, a little more happy.

thanx Kurt..most of my digging buddies have gotten too old to really dig but you make me want to still keep swinging the coil. NY can be tough with all the "developed" parks and properties so finding a place to dig is hard. perhaps you can make a video on the research techniques you use??
