Days of Thunder is one of my favorite racing movies
I recently watch this movie for the first time. I can say that I'm a fan. I'd love to get a Days of Thunder 2 in the works.
I'm betting it already is due to the success of Top Gun 2
It was so interesting to hear the back story about these cars. I really like this movie, I think I shall watch it again.

This was so cool! I remember getting a hot pink and white compound bow as a kid because of the Superflo car.. no one at S&S Graham in Salisbury seemed to appreciate or understand that lol.

Great video Jordan! Cole Trickle was loosely based on the career of Tim Richmond, who was also an Ohio resident. His story is actually more interesting than the movie. I could see you making a video on him. Definitely look him up, you won't be disappointed.

The Airport actually where they wrecked that car is in Flagler County at the Flagler Airport. If you ever come to Daytona I can take you a lot of the locations where they filmed.

That is the car in the last scence at daytona. You can tell its was used in the b roll from how the front bumper looks like someone took a bite out of it.
My Brother put up the " Patriot Car Rental " Signs for Don Simpson and Jerry Bruckheimer & then he Installed the Red & Blue Neon in the Bar Scene for Tom Cruise and Robert Duvall.. I Still To This Present Day Have Both " Patriot Car Rental " Signs but i have them in Storage now.
Wasn't one at Kings Dominion in VA
he can always have them cleaned with dry ice pressure cleaning. Its non destructive.

If he could find 3 lumina stock cars that aren't rusted, maybe he could have the movie cars paint jobs put on them using the originals as reference. That way, you could see what they looked like when freshly painted.
They’re cool and all, but I wouldn’t compare it to Star wars nerds going crazy for props
Its the car in the scene were he make it through the bad wreck and he says "harry im out here." And goes on to chase russ down and win the race.
It is so sad seeing those cars in the bad condition they are in he really should restore them otherwise in time they will fall apart and then the fans won't have anything left from the movie😢

I’m not a big nascar fan, in fact I think real nascar died with Dale, but days of Thunder is one of my favorite movies.

And carwinds amusement park had days of thunder ride with like 4 or 6 of the cars the we’re supposed to be used in the movie
I just happened to be scrolling on Facebook marketplace and apparently he has them for sell :/ I’m not 100% sure it’s him but the page looks like it’s his page and not a scammer. Either way it’s sad seeing them for sell now but hopefully they’ll both go to a good home and I hope all is okay with Joe.

I agree with no restoration, I hate when they say that as it’s not original paint and original anything anymore. I’m glad it’s in a building at least and not out in the elements ‼️

Ok funny how you’re film of the barn led me to a video done a month ago with this same man and this same dealership talking with a guy that worked on the film and here you are at that same location…crazy! 😂

I'd restore them but I'd also want to put an insane amount of work into preserving every square inch of metal that I could.
It's sad that right after the movie some studio or the car owners would just take these and let them rot outside. WTF 😒

Sorry guys... I appreciate the history but, I'm 55, been watching NASCAR since the 79 Daytona 500 until a few years ago when it turned lame. I thought Days of Thunder was an awful movie. No Car builder would have talked to the roll cage and said he was going to give it an oil pan to cut the wind. I was only 3 years out of high school and slouched down in my seat and laughed out loud at that scene. Actually, I cringed through the whole movie and laughed out loud at the rest. What a ridiculous movie.
Movies are to go , enjoy and get lost in. To relax, throw out reality and go for a ride for 90 minutes or more. A lot of people can do that and not worry about how factual it is. Days of Thunder was a motion picture not a documentary. So, for us that enjoyed this movie and others, we will continue to, those that can’t separate a fictional movie from real life should probably just not go to movies.
As a cigar lover for the past 35 years and a movie buff, I can separate fact from fiction, but... Days of Blunder still sucked. Not only was I a NASCAR fan, I was also on a pit crew for a NASCAR Modified team and raced short track stock cars for a few years. Being behind the scenes is what made the movie comical to me. The movie would have been better as a comedy. When the movie came out, I ran into Geoff Bodine and Morgan Shepherd at Watkins Glen and asked them what they thought of the movie. They looked at each other and laughed. That being said, I still enjoy the history of the cars and would love to know the actual race history of the chassis themselves outside of the movie.@@CigarReviewTv
I'd love to know your thoughts on Talladega Nights. Lol. I heard the Superflo chassis may have belonged to Rob Moroso which I found very interesting.

@@WildcatCougar A lot of old and new drivers love that movie and were in it. In Stapleton's video he pointed out the Swisher Sweets decal on the dash and I think some red paint.
