Some very thoughtful remarks from Adm Scott Swift. He clearly has substantive experience that teases us to explore these issues with more curiosity. I am humbled to have had this opportunity to listen. Thanks to Bill Hamblet for his dedication to learning.

My late Father would point out excessive complacency in a communally common practice of repetitious *LOGISTICAL NIGHTMARE* few hundred thousand pounds of potable water to Lahina, should not require a Berlin airlift. What are WE doing??, *GUANYUN* 13(762×96)= admitted Square Meters of a trans-Pacific China advanced operational island surface. Almost a year old now.

Decommissioning Navy Cruisers, Destroyers, and Submarines with no replacements available is a bad idea. Could these Cruisers Destroyers and Submarines be placed in permanent dry docks around America and US Territories, and could be partially manned and used only in a defensive role as part of the US ABM Shield and also a Nuclear deterrent at places like Guam and Pearl Harbor Alaska? these ships could be used to defend Stateside Military Bases, Large Cities on the East and West Coast, and the Gulf of Mexico to protect our major refineries and strategic oil reserves. They could be funded as part of the National Defense and not funded by the US Navy. If these retired ships were used as a fixed position defense it would free up other Navel ships to tackle hostile forces abroad. Losing over one thousand maybe fifteen hundred fully functional VLS Tubes when tensions are high with Russia China and North Korea when the US is having a hard time getting caught up with our adversaries is a very bad idea. These ships are too old to go to sea but they can still defend America for many years to come.

Hey chiner, wheres the paper on your fleet? Is your saftey gear, capable of being used to assist an internationally isolated distressed traveler, ISO 9001? should combat adjacent cargo & fleet meet emission requirements? TOFU tug formation in the worlds foremost ghost net farming force. Hoover the hello ver mined too though, huh! No old Soviet ships provide clean surveys today. Good class and saved face scuttling unproven seaworthyness. Lead bullets are safe with a copper jacket.
