You went up a level in sound design to create an immersive storytelling experience. Your recreation of the physical experience of an out of body experience using sound is spot-on. (This is based on the audio-only listening experience.)
The hollow, echoing sound at the beginning creates a feeling of groggily waking up, not fully in your body, getting flashes of memory as you begin to reconstruct the previous night's events. Now fully awake, you feel detached from yourself, an outside, dispassionate observer to your life, your behavior, and your choices. In this state, you can finally admit to yourself that you're on a path of self-destruction, and you don't know if you can change course. You vacillate between anger towards and helplessness against that part of you that you can't control. As you come back into your body, you're lost with no resolve to change it all. The only future you can see for yourself is continuing to cycle through the same bad habits.
This song hits hard. You delivered a performance that immerses the listener in the experience of living through the process of waking up to the realization that you're destroying yourself.
