DWI - Speeding Honda Accord unable to pull over correctly & flees - Catches air in front of church

On July 5, 2024, at approximately 9:55 pm, I initiated a traffic stop on a white Honda Accord (AR AWD76Z) on Interstate 430
South near the 128-mile marker for speeding (84/65 mph zone). Decoyria Nash failed to yield correctly and
stopped in lane 3. I repeatedly told Nash over my car PA to pull to the left out of the roadway. Nash made movements with his
vehicle as though he was trying to comply, but at approximately 9:57 pm, Nash fled from the traffic stop and entered Interstate
30 East. Nash exited Interstate 30 East at Baseline and went south. Nash recklessly fled the entire length of Baseline until he
was involuntarily stopped due to him wrecking at the Baseline and Arch Street intersection. Nash exceeded the various posted
speed limits for the entirety of the pursuit.
Upon Nash's wrecking out at 8901 Arch Street, I conducted a Tactical Vehicle Intervention (TVI) on Nash's vehicle as he tried
to regain control. While executing the TVI, my patrol unit struck the rear driver's side of his vehicle and sustained minor
damage.
MEMS was called to check out Nash. Nash was transported and admitted to Baptist LR for his injuries.
Nash was charged with the following:
27-51-302: IMPROPER LANE CHANGE/USAGE
27-51-301(a): DRIVING LEFT OF CENTER
27-51-309: IMPROPER USE OF CENTER LEFT-TURN LANES
27-22-104: NO LIABILITY INSURANCE
27-37-702: NO SEATBELT
27-50-302(a)(2): RECKLESS DRIVING
27-52-107: FAIL TO STOP AT RED LIGHT
27-50-302(a)(7): SPEEDING - MORE THAN 15 MPH OVER LIMIT
27-16-303: DRIVING ON SUSPENDED LICENSE
5-54-125(d)(2) 2023: FLEEING - VEHICLE OR CONVEYANCE - EXCEEDING THE SPEED LIMIT

It didnt stop because he overheated the brakes, I have actually done that before in the 9th gen honda, once its feels marshmallowy, your brakes just slide and you have to wait atleast 10min to let it cool

@joesterling4299 im just going to counter that by saying I have a car that could stop from 100 mph at that distance, and there are multiple vehicles under $40,000 that can as well 😅, it all depends on the car brand for the most part, and Hondas brake system isnt very good at doing it repeatedly

I was stopped doing 74 in a 55 construction zone his lights came on & I pulled over immediately ended up a warning !!!

America has put ourselves in a terrible situation: we don't punish the criminals properly so more and more people may think "I will run, maybe get away, if I don't get away, I will get 4 months probation, street cred and social media hits."
Fleeing literally first charge to be dropped. Virtually no risk in trying to get away, if you're facing other crimes.
Our justice system doesn't work, this isn't a new problem, we are just more aware of it because of the internet. The prisons are already well beyond capacity, locking people up doesn't seem to do anything. America is the only first world country with the level of crime we have, and we have a hugely disproportionate amount of people locked up. We need new ideas, the old ones clearly aren't working because they never did.
