This video aims to provide potential future students at the University of Pécs with some basic key information regarding living arrangements in the city so new students don’t feel as lost as I once did.

Hey! I am looking at University of Pecs for a study abroad option. I am studying architecture and was wondering how the program is there? I will be a 4th year student (from the U.S.) by the time I study abroad, so I was wondering if you had any input on the higher level architecture classes?

@@gagecarlton6351 I just started my second semester in the masters of architecture here ... I can say that the approach here is quite design intensive and is over all pretty good from my experience here... Also the doctors in the faculty can speak very good english for the most part.

@@ShamsMMS Awesome! Thank you for replying! Are you quite busy with a lot of school work or do you have a good amount of free time to explore and do activities? Also, how difficult are the classes? Where I am, we are always super busy with school work and the classes are pretty intense, and we focus more on design than mathematics behind our work, so I wanted to know if the classes are super math based and hard or not. Sorry for all of the questions, I’m just so unsure of where I would like to go. Again, thank you for answering!

I would say that there maybe is a chance you could organise to pay for 2 people and stay in a room alone as I got the impression that they were quite flexible but again, I can’t confirm. Why do you want to study in Pécs? What are some of your hobbies? If you can make sure that you have confidence with all the theoretical topics to an equal degree and you have thought of the answers to those types of questions above then you can do it! Good luck!!

It gets cold in the winter reaching temperatures of around -7 degrees and then it gets really hot in the summer reaching temperatures around 37 degrees. So bring clothing that covers both bases and if you don’t have a winter coat already, I advise you buy one in Europe as they tend to be better equipped for the winter. Pécs can also get a lot of rain at times during the year so a coat with a waterproof outer layer would be most ideal.

Hey, congratulations on the acceptance. I’m sorry to hear about the issue with funding though as I’m sure it is very frustrating. I currently have a loan from a company called Diakhitel (based in Budapest) and this company pays my full tuition fee. The loan is a 0% interest loan and I start paying it back after I’m finished. Unfortunately, I believe that this loan might only be available to people who hold a European passport. I potentially misunderstood or maybe the situation has changed and I hope this turns out to be the case. So, I advise that you try get in contact with them and see if you could be eligible: info@diakhitel.hu

Hey, there is a cleaning service once every week in the dorms so you do not need to clean the bathroom yourself.
