My Uncle is a Harley Rider, heavy set, long hair, missing front tooth! he looks the part, LOL. In 07 i lost my wife to cancer, i had a 10, 7 & 3 year old children at home, id have to say it was the roughest time of my life. My uncle was the 1st one to step up to give me a hand watching the kids, taking & picking them up from school helping with meals & homework so I could get my wif to Dr's appointments & try to hold down a job. He stayed with us for months & was a enormous help! You would never think, watching him cruise down the road on his Hog. Most of the time your able to judge a book by the cover but not aways.

I wish yamaha would build a 400cc version with a 2 valve engine like the bigbear 400 that would be the ultimate bike in your opinion. Low seat height low maintenance and sharing as any parts as possible with the tw200 so accessories like racks and things would interchange!

This bike deserve a big brother some where in that 400 range. It would be a very smart business move for Yamaha to make one if they bumped up the price so profit margin was about the same and not jack it way up.

One was a parts bike for $220, 88 for $160 replaced wiring harness off parts bike, 92 for $240 running but had been backed over, 95 with 760 miles for $350 had to replace an intake valve and bore out the cylinder to 70mm, 06 for $550 that was stolen by crackheads then recovered (intake valve replaced and new piston and plastics. Will have enough to put together a 4th TW between parts bike and backed over bike.

@@TDub_ADV They just upped the Monkey with a 6-speed, higher compression and HP, and top speed around 60MPH. This is really a game changer for the Monkey. The main reason I stop craving the Monkey and got a TDub was, prior to this year, the Money's top speed was about 45, where as the TDub can hit freeway speeds (under the right conditions) of say 65. There was no way to take a Monkey on the freeway, where you can do it (if you have to) on the TDub. That was the end of wanting a monkey for me. But Honda just fixed that... I was surprised that Monkey, as small as it is, is still in the 250lb range...a lot smaller than the TDub but not much lighter.

I have installed springs from Procycle both front and rear ( .60kg/mm front and 15km/mm rear on both bikes) as well as the Race Tech gold valve emulators in the forks. I have been setup like this for years and overall it works really well for us.
The DDC's you now sell for the TW interest me as well. The biggest thing i would love to see is an upgraded rear shock with adjustable damping and adjustable preload. The preload would be super important for me since i have had to take the shock out to adjust it on both bikes when we load them up for a trip many times. On her bike i set it to the lowest setting and on mine the middle setting for every day use. When we load them up for camping i like to set them at the highest setting to compensate for the gear we carry.

@@TDub_ADV I found one not long after my comment. I paid a little more than I would have liked, but it was worth it to me.
I wouldn't sell mine even if I was offered 10k.
I'm in love with this bike.

They come very lean and stock gearing is too short.
2 things that if fixed dramatically increase performance.

I wanted a 1987 Yamaha TW-200 because it had a kick start in addition to two other start options.
Because the two options would fail when weather killed the battery and the ride could not be rolled
fast enough to win ignition. I'd happily buy another kick-start ride in-lieu-of other ignition methods.
More so if the engine was built by manufacturers of Japan. None of that CCP crap, please.
