I had this same exact problem while building my diy vacuum chamber. ultimately, I bought a steel one from eBay w a huge thick plexy top and it's worked for me for the past few years now!

Funny thing is I bet the Glass isn't rated for extraneous pressure. I bet if a vacuum was put under it, it actually would shatter apart. From what I understand, there is very particular sets of glass and Plastics that you can use for vacuums

Bad Idea. Cody's lab is a horrible place to go for science. His scientific method is atrocious. Just buy books or research what ever Cody's tries to pass off as science. If you want to watch CZcams videos then go to Universities CZcams channels. Trust me you will get more knowledge out of that. You will also learn correct science and not some want to be scientist trying to pass off bad science to it's viewers
