- Apex Legends Season 20 Ranked is truly back to its roots and feel like the spectating series is also back. Rank overall are going to be more consistent in a few weeks time as everyone settles into their respected ranks. Currently we are going to see an odd trend because EVERYONE was reset to rookie.
Bronze & Rookie ranks will be easier since the points you lose is low stake. So the lobbies will thin our faster. Remember as you rank up they will start to play out smarter. Which is what we are going to track.
Each Saturday we will solo queue live on stream but then in the spectating series call out the meta.
Current meta is flexible and I encourage everyone to try new things before people are "set" in their ways. It is nice to see such a variety of legends and its a ton of fun. REMEMBER! Have fun, this season is really special and gives us a good point to kick off from!

Remember, have fun!! This is a great reset and seeing legend diversity is fun at the moment. Make mistakes before everyone gets super serious and sweaty (Which semi is at higher rankings). Know the first week is going to feel really off because we all reset to rookie!
But most of all, info is key! You can be aggro, but you need info. You also need cover. Repositioning from a fight is 100% okay because you have info and realize it may not be worth it. Not everything has to be fought!

For now ranked is essentially apex without SBMM, good players will find it easy because they’re good, bad players will find it hard because their bad, this is the raw apex experience based on how skilled you are compared to the whole population.
In 2-3 weeks people will sort themselves out in the ranks based on skill, so if you find it difficult now, wait some time and it’ll get easier.
ranked is just pubs 2.0 again... lets see how long the community takes to start on hating at another ranked system again
@@beastknight9790 as flawed as this system is and was in some ways, that irrelevant when you compare it to the abhorrently tragic travesty of a state the s17-19 one was, one of the worst ranked systems in gaming history. You could get highest rank and do 0 damage, and it was done, ratting was crazy.
@@thsxi thats not true tho. Last season was one of the most competitive ranked seasons with the implementation of the promo trials. I got no rat teammates in 90% of my solo q games and even when 3 stacking, games were challenging with more teams playing for zone rather than aping everything which lead into more exciting endzone games.
Ppl who love the comp scene but arent mechanically gifted could actually experience the thrill without playing in scrims or challenger circuit but the casuals really dont understand that ranked shouldnt be the same as pubs.
Ranked systems in multiplayers always aimed to be more competitive. Now you will always get a (kindish) smurfing team to run through the whole lobby and no one will try to play smart coz why would you when dying early wont punish you and pushing will always be more fun. Thats literally the pubs mentality.
In ALGS pros will just fight when they have to. This should be the way a competitive mode should aim for in a BR but how I know the playerbase ppl will start to crying about the Int-Simulator after 2 seasons too coz they get tired of getting braindead aped. Apex players will always complain
@@beastknight9790 most competitive right, is that why you would go positive simply by getting top 10. Whilst this might work for ALGS or smt, it as awful for ranked. You could get master without showing and skill necessary to be if that skill. Now you need top 4 (in that range) to guaranteed go positive and even then is so little points you’ll never rank up without fighting, which is what determines skill.
To top that off since the last ranked system was based off mmr and not rank, so a better player could struggle with master lobbies in bronze whilst the average player will have gold lobbies in bronze and rank up faster than the better player. Doesn’t make sense, that is bullshit.
As for promo trials, they are bullshit, I won a game that got me to gold but now I have to do the trial which is win a game, which i just did, which is difficult in a plat/diamond tier lobby because of mmr matchmaking and playing solo w with ransoms doesn’t help either.
Let’s not even talk about how they hid how kp is calculated and the ranks of your teammates and enemies is hidden. Imagine in the ALGS they hid from you how the point system worked.
@@thsxi you couldnt get master last season with just ratting coz you have to win in the trials. Youre too fixed on s17 which was objectively the worst ranked season ever and no one will ever tell you the opposite.
Also like I mention it wasnt only about the rank but also about the vibes of the games. Idc if im just gold or plat if you have a great competitive game coz enemies were around your mmr and it actually felt like fair playground when you werent solo q.
Also gaining placement points from top 10 and above is exactly how ALGS works too.
Yesterday I had a bad game where we got 4th place but couldnt get any KP coz the whole lobby chased us and we just got 15 RP which is nuts. Only fighting doesnt determines skill or we could just get rid of BR and start playing Arenas.
What you want is pub stomping with shiny badges as a reward. I just want a competitive mode and not a KP race.
Both systems would suck for solo q coz u either have to get many KP in a uncoordinated team of random players or you have to win the trials with randoms but at least u gains some points when reaching top 9 even if ur mates are completely braindead pubs monkeys
What i love the MOST about this season is that Wattson is SoSOSOSOSO much more viable this season than she has been the last couple of seasons. I’ve already gotten 2 wins with her in one sitting of ranked ❤

@stani2348 respectfully pros can play ANYONE no matter how weak the legend is because they've mastered movement, aim, positioning, etc. So much they can make any legend look S tier look at gaming merchant with rampart he makes her look as strong as wraith but she's the 2nd weakest legend in the game. Heck the pros could drop a 20 kill game with a p2020 and a Mozambique but if you let them tell it the p20 is powerful(they say that every legend and gun is powerful which is a lie) you need to stop believing every nonsense illogical thing the pros say because they'll say anything to get views if they could get away with it they'll say the Mozambique is powerful. Quit drinking the kool-aid and think for yourself. Wattson has been weak ever since season 2 and the devs(ESPECIALLY that guy David who was the head developer) have been gaslighting us "she's a easy win because her win rate is high" ignoring that only the top 1% of wattson mains are getting 99% of all the wins for that legend. Wattsons pylon still destroys friendly grenades and ultimates, her passive regen is garbage as it takes 10 seconds to refill 1 shield block let alone a entire shield. People are always walking through her fences and they're too easy to destroy. Why don't you think wattson is weak? I've been a wattson mains since season 2 and I only play her because of her personality

Unfortunately i found out how toxic competitive apex and the ALGS circuit really was and after i left the team i was playing for i took a long much needed break. I understand ALGS and getting at that pro level is difficult. It can be mentally taxing but also bring out the worst in people because its a high stress environment. It takes across the board strong team to push through together under that pressure and be flexible and understanding.
I hope though you find a group who does lift you up. Losing is not fun. But the journey and learning is so important!
I just found your stuff getting back into apex after a looong hiatus as I'm figuring out which characters I want to main and to find out that you're a vantage and wattson main is a God send. Those have been the 2 I've enjoyed the most so now I have the perfect channel to help reteach me the game after a long time away and teach me specifically for my characters. Much love man

Everyone being in rookie 4, honestly felt like the perfect pub match. A pro team, a few sweats, mostly average, and a few new players.
I like that you watch the games to the end and talk about certain Situations that happend throughout the game, but it would be nice if you could show them while talking about it so people can visualise them better.

That first game damage spread was crazy 😂. But yeah I have understood as well that sometimes my damage is much higher than everybody else but I’m still the reason we died. Im pushing and trying to be a sweat when me team is on a different wavelength. You don’t need a million damage to be a good team player.
New system is nice, its pretty damn easy to get everyone with good shields. But there are a lot of 3 stacked diamond/masters and pred teams in lower lobbies because everyone started at the same rp so I'd suggest waiting a few days so they weave them selves out 😅
17:44 uses a Phoenix kit for two blocks of shield but that pops a battery seconds later. Oof lol all good though
one essential thing you're missing is marking enemies especially as vantage when you can see enemies a lot better and their shield armor levels. ur teammates will be more alert and following u if they notice u see prey.

What would you recommend for getting higher damage games? I’m a loba main and I play best in a support role, my peak rank excluding season 17 is D3 my highest damage is just under 3k and I’ve never had a 20 bomb my gun skill is okayish but im not willing to grind out getting better putting loads of time in as im a casual player that plays after work occasionally
I use the meta as much as the next guy, but I'd love to see a season or split where Respawn kept tweaking the game such that there really wasn't a full meta. The game is so interesting when it feels like there are actually a bunch of legends in the game. Right now it feels like we're playing a good game even though I'm often smashing my head against the wall while I play still

I just started apex and been playing for 6 days now and I feel I can’t improve or don’t know how. I love the game and want to get better but it’s so hard. Plus this is my first actually picking up a controller and starting a new hobby, BUT STILL! 😂

the only thing I can think about is that you used dk country 2 music it was years since i played it but i instantly recognise it its wierd how the brain can remember music for years but forget how to aim when its actually important
I think it would be interesting for one of Cryptos purple perks to be take 50% less damage from ult or allow your drone to follow a teammate with out you controlling, like putting a go pro on a cats collar. Your teammate will be doing their own thing and even if they are bad they will be giving you information, of course they will have a big obvious orb following them around that can easily be shot and destroyed but It's an interesting way to get more use out of a bad teammate. Of course the pros will probably pick 50% less ult damage but idk I like putting go pros on my pets

Right now its easy to get caught up in the mess of fighting. Assume right now everyone will dog pile. If you are a confident fighter, don't stay too long and duck and weave. If you want points, going to zone is ideal. Because everyone is duking it out.
Another note: If you are not confident to fight, better to "practice" on what are good fights now, so you are confident later. Less of a consequence at lower ranks!

I would prefer the other purple perk would focus on the Res Supp Mirage. Either making it fully silent, Instantly cloaking or a speed boost so the invisible can help u go to a safer place. That 75 hp was very helpful when he Resed both of his team.

Been having lots of fun playing maggie. Q’ing one cover on last zone just to be able to Q their next cover and they have nowhere to go. Or Q’ing their only cover and have her tactical cover a larger area. Man, even ulting half the people into the ring as it closes. 😆
This season lowkey is worse for solo que. 600 damage to my teamates 60. Can’t get kp or points with teamates like this

My problem is my performance every game is well above my teammates 🥴 and I don’t blindly push or overplay I follow my team but when we get pushed by a good 3 stack my team gets destroyed

PLAY ZONE people. Edge is for the lobby terminators. We aren't the terminators most of the time, so play Zone if you are ok with less action for more guaranteed RP/LP

22:38 why would use the triple take (marksman) instead of the re-45 for that close range fight, and when the enemy was using a prowler? Dude didn’t even notice you until you shot first and missed.
Just treating the triple take as a shotgun, it has its moments but its a gamble. I went for the gamble when I clearly had the jump and failed. Happens. :) but you even mentioned, I had the jump, I should of won. Why I went for it.
