    Great vid, very thorough. Got my first XC race this Saturday. I usually wear knee pads when I mtb ride, but I’m constantly seeing vids of XC races where no one is wearing pads, so I’m wondering if I should skip the pads that day. Thoughts?

      Typically pads aren’t needed for XC riding and you will really never see anyone wearing them.

    I am doing xc racing and can I know what bike you use

  • @TheZweric
    @TheZweric Před 3 lety +2

    all round solid, only one issue: why choose an inefficient pedalling form while trying to smooth power output? I get it for surges.
    Additionally you'd need to lock your suspensions to not lose too much energy as a not locked out rear will usually not have enough anti-squat to counter a rider jumping up and down on the bike, else it's a trash system anyway.
    I like to save the lock-out levers and stay seated and have excellent traction buuuut well, since I got that bike I've yet to do XC races (haven't done any in 2 years, but want to in a month).

    What’s a better bike for XC racing , hard tail or full suspension?

    • @orestismoschos9722
      @orestismoschos9722 Před 4 lety

      If you can afford a full suspension bike, definitely buy it but if you can't hardtail is not a bad choice !! I bought a hardtail cube aim race 2020 29" and its cheap (around 540€ ... I know it doesnt sound cheap but for the value of this bike its unbelievable) hope you keep doing this sport and peace ! From Greece

    • @tombellHNP
      @tombellHNP  Před 3 lety +2

      Hmm, hope for the best? 😄 In all seriousness, you might have a higher sprint power you can deploy! Other than that, try not to blow up on the first lap by going out too hard (really easy to do) and capitalise on others not pacing their effort well. Best of luck!

    After about 3 years the last Keurig stopped working czcams.com/users/postUgkxBrV-RbF5Nk0Rlt9i15aao-YMzqzTG8Vf initially was able to unblock, however eventually we couldn't fix. That one was a replacement unit sent by the manufacturer after we had problems with our very first Keurig. This works fine (lol, at least for now) however I didn't realize the water reservoir was so much smaller than our prior unit. With 2 people having one or two cups of coffee each morning, it seems like I'm refilling it daily. Otherwise just happy to have the convenience of pod coffee vs. making a morning pot.

    • @illiachumak
      @illiachumak Před 3 lety +1

      I wouldn't do that, however, it depends on the lap length. Two gels should be enough for 4 laps.
