Precious would be a good back up on a playoff team. Not the best scorer but is a good rebounder and plays better defense than many starters. His biggest weakness is his three point shooting. Shooting under 30 percent from three and shooting more than one a game is not efficient. He free throw shooting is line a Rollercoaster. It could be OK or horrible. At least he can say he shot over 70 percent from the line one season. He will probably be a second string player on whatever team he plays for. Starter on a bad team and a third option on a really good team.
Teams just don't have the cap space. Before they wouldn't care and still sign some of these guys but with the new "apron rules" most teams are hesitant to spend and these players don't want to play for less money even for one year thinking it will hurt them long term.
Bingo. We're still gonna see player movement, but only because teams are afraid of being over the 2nd apron

@@CarnagexSena Magic fan here. For a few months in 2022 he looked legit, but then he got injured again and now his first step is gone. He could never shoot, now he can't penetrate or defend either. Sucks but his career might be over.

The Lakers should sign Luke Kennard, they proved they could work with a guard who's not a strong defender or rebounder as long as they hit 3s last year with DLO.

Good vid, but combining the new tax apron penalties/CBA, these dudes are all (mostly) one way players, or reclamation projects. Vet minimum is about the "max" for these dudes. I have not looked it up, but is overseas more cash than vet minimum?
If I'm not mistaken, Pat Bev got like 4 mil from Israel so yeah, some overseas teams are capable of giving more than a vet minimum.

I live in germany, and find it interesting that the coaches for the men's and women's teams speak english as a primary language. the teams are mostly germans, but mixing of americans, spanish, other european players. But, I guess it's all about prospective. Most players would LOVE to be in Tyus Jones spot, and be a desired backup point guard, albeit for low pay. But, there are many role players/starters that want to be all-stars, and all-stars that want to be max contract dudes. But, at some point, the CBA crushing the "middle class" salaries, the attractiveness of just more money overseas will prevail.

He did play poorly in the playoffs but the owners were still promising not to trade him and he wanted the promise in writing. We don't know if he asked them to promise the no trade or they offered it verbally but didn't want to back it up. Either way they were willing to pay lip service but not make it official which likely means they were lying. Can't blame a guy for leaving after being low balled and lied to.
