without a infrared temp meter, how can you hear that a car is not running on all its cylinders ? what to pay attention to ? I'm amazed that some people on the internet 'heard' your 5 cylinders not being the 6 so I'm really curious...how do you learn that ? I think I wouldn't hear the difference between 4 or 6 :-( but willing to learn !
Rob - thanks for this. Checked out my exhaust manifolds - in short I had the same issue. My #5 was 150 degrees F cooler than the others. I had changed out my ignition to COPs so removed, checked and put back with tightening the racing hold The accel from 1st no longer hesitated and it accelerated better. Thanks for helping out the community with this - much appreciated! “6 cylinders is better than 5 in these cars” was said by someone wise.
It was plugged in, but somehow wasn't making contact. Like when I unplugged it, I felt it snap, maybe the contact was off to the side? I'm not sure exactly, but grateful for a super easy fix and way more speed!
Easy fixes like that are the best. From scratching your head to grinning from ear to ear.

Pretty awesome. I assume by primaries you’re referring g to the exhaust manifolds? Or something else?
