It took a lot of attempts, but thanks to the recent patch update where overload stats are now calculated into combat power I was able to power through it!
I tried other team variations but this team was what I was most comfortable with, and my aiming with sniper rifles is bad.
Usually I play with aim assist enabled and DPS values disabled, but I did the opposite for this fight because...
1. Aim Assist is really bad here and sometimes targets bombs when trying to aim at the Summon Ports
2. I needed to see DPS values to know if I am hitting something.
Lastly, I had to lower and disable some in-game graphic settings because I would get FPS dips in this fight
Strategy:
The boss' intro move is pretty heavily RNG and I would restart if the 1st wave of bombs targetted Red Hood during full burst.
The end of Red Hood's full burst lines up to the 2nd wave of bombs which signals to me that I should stop the rest of the team from hiding behind cover.
The land raptures that show up is pretty easy to deal with and I use Modernia's Full Burst partway through it to get ready for the 1st airborne raptures.
Targetting the small thin raptures is important since their attack will cause the run to fail if any of them survive. The circular ones do less damage and can be targetted after.
For the 2nd wave of airborne raptures, I use Red Hood to charge the Burst Gauge and then use Scarlet's Full Burst to immediately wipe them out.
There is a certain timing to it that takes some practice. I'm sure there are online guides out there that tell exactly what to look for.
When the boss calls in the Elite Raptures I stop Crown at 19 Stacks so that she can activate her Skill 2 to taunt and take all the damage as she is invincible.
I found that between 1min 37s (1:42) and 1min 38s (1:43) was the window to let Crown shoot and activate Skill 2.
That is usually when the Elite Raptures get ready to aim (red circle highlight on their core) and then fire at 1min 35s (1:45).
The fight loops back to the start, but I cannot fully describe the rest of the video, as it was improvised. I kept these as a guideline:
- use Red Hood to charge the Burst Gauge faster
- try to not let the bombs kill any one
- focus down on the Summon Ports and even ignore some of the land raptures.
- my Red Hood Full Burst aiming is kind of bad for the Summon Ports so I always aimed for the right side first because it was more visible, and then let Autofire handle the left side.
I was really lucky on this attempt because Scarlet's Full Burst was pure luck as I was not consciously thinking about the timing of it killing the 1st wave of airborne raptures, which gave me the final attack window to destroy the last needed Summon Port to end the fight.
If I couldn't kill the airborne raptures on the 2nd fight cycle it would have been a restart.
