In this mission all in:
The Ultranationalists have just launched two nuclear ICBMs, and it has been verified that they are directly aimed for the US Eastern Seaboard, where, should they hit their targets, they will kill 41,096,749 people. While the U.S.M.C. and SAS ground teams try to get into the launch site so they may enter the abort codes, Command back at base is collaborating with the Russian Loyalists to obtain the missile abort codes. When the two teams arrive to the launching location, they find three BMP-2 infantry fighting vehicles (IFVs) and a number of guards obstructing their way. After passing through two launch sites, Griggs and John "Soap" MacTavish smash the armor while the remaining members of the team eliminate the guys. The soldiers finally reach the vents after a protracted battle, rip them open, and start to descend to the ICBM facility to deactivate the missiles in midair. The following mission, "No Fighting In The War Room," begins as a result.
In the next mission no fighting in the war room:
As the marine forces combat the attackers from below and provide security overwatch, Captain Price and the team crawl through the vents before descending to penetrate the mission control silo. They battle their way through, taking out the countless foes standing guard outside the main control room. The squad needs to work quickly to avoid being wiped out by another missile, which would cause the entire area to burn. After arriving in a safe room, they proceed to a big blast door, which Gaz opens. After eliminating the last of the hostile soldiers, they use C4 to blow a breach in the wall and allow the team to enter the main control room, where Soap enters the abort codes. After saving 41,096,749 individuals, they witness Imran Zakhaev boarding a chopper and taking off. With fast steps, the crew heads out, eager to get away.
