  • Geometry and the rules it contains has a degree of flexibility that can be had fun with in the right hands. In this video I go over some basic usage of meshmachine in the process of converting a shape into something more subdivision capable.

get solvin! It gets deeper as well. Sometimes you can set up a ctrl + T result and alt + J a really long chain solving some impossibly strips.

I recommend to replace J with Shift+V shortcut, to avoid carpal tunnel syndrome.
I got it when I was doing the Palmyra project, it took several days to retrain, but it helped a lot and solved an issue.

Top notch content as always. If you feel like it one time, perhaps share your default pref setup for mesh machine to better co exist with box cutter.

When trying this myself, I was a bit disappointed with the result because I messed up the cylindrical shapes. What seemed to help was to afterwards
    1) applying 1 level of subdivision,
    2) using Meshmachine's conform tool to conform the surface to cylinders,
    3) using 2 levels of un-subdivide to return to a reasonable complexity again.
