When the big companies do introduce new POC on comics they don’t get traction. In fact they are often seen as woke garbage, cringe, or pushing an agenda.

It was Chris Claremont that redefined the X-Men, what they fought for, Magneto's backstory, and a lot more; even he said that Professor X and Magneto were NOT based on Martin Luther King Jr and Malcom X, but instead on the Jewish leaders David Ben-Gurion and Menachem Begin.
I always thought to myself as i got older that the X-Mens struggle made them seem more african American to me. The discrimination of them being different even cyclops the well educated, upstanding black man who came left the hood, being called corny etc and wolverine being that guote on qoute street dude along those lines. They bought the land from Ottoman absentee landlords at above-market prices. (And that's where one infamous conflict has its genesis.) Basically Ben-Gurion used diplomacy to get the world to recognize Israel. Begin's group Irgun, by contrast, fought the British during the 40s, and the British enlisted the Arabs (who were still miffed that they now lived on land owned by Jews, rather than land owned by Turks, yes, the Arab-Israeli conflict is That Petty) to fight back. The British played the usual game of divide and rule, but in 1948, the Jews declared their independence, and abolished the Latinate name Palestine for the modern name Israel. Note that Begin still brokered a peace treaty with Egypt decades later when he was Prime Minister. So, it's not like Begin was all that gung ho for war. This shows up throughout the history of the X-Men. Why so much of Xavier and Magneto's story so prominently features Israel. Why Xavier's son (with the usual disclaimers about Charles Xavier as a parent) was in an Israeli mental institution. And so on.

Sorry to hear about that blowback on the all-black X-Men; I think it's a fun idea, and while I thought the execution here was less than stellar would love to see it played with more. So many exciting and cool mutants are black, and there's no reason that should be a controversial view.
Blowback is mostly because of the whole 'power of being black making everything better' schtick. Comes off a bit too much like someone writing for their own personal fantasy than what made X-Men great.

What else is an entire minority race of people lead by an advocate for peace and equality, and a rival willing to use violence to achieve that, in the fight against their oppression at the hands of the bigoted majority race in government in the 1960s US? This isn't some "dipped in chocolate/copy and paste" nonsense readers like you are always yelling about, this is how it would've been in the beginning if not for how unprepared Marvel's younger audience and more moderate readers were for something so radical. As for the black successors or versions of white characters, what's the problem? New characters can be cool and all, but it doesn't compare to the weight and reverence of being the real thing for audiences that want to see that. And it's not like Marvel or DC is erasing the original character's race, you can still have your original white X-Men but we just have our black X-Men too.

This is Marvel telling us what the MCU X-Men May look like. I feel that’s what this is; an omen. I have no problem with in the comic books but we all know how the MCU works.
I've been an X-Men fan since 1987. I've been reading comic books since I was about three years old. I always felt the important thing about the X-Men was the inclusion of everyone working together for common good? I never saw the X-Men as all white or all black. They were just great heroes that did what needed to be done. Now my thoughts on this if they want to do a spin off where they wrote some story about this, I guess that's cool me personally, I'm not a big fan of that is but I understand some people may want to see it. I like the X-Men for who they are and what they're about. I like that they're caucasian. I like that they can be black. I like that they can be anything and the problem that I see is it's telling everyone in so many ways that all black society equals better things and Caucasian society equals problems and I don't think that that's a good message at all. I think that there's good and bad and all groups of people and I think that we need to be more united like the actual X-Men and I've been reading them for so long. I know the characters really well and that's what really matters to me, not their skin color, not their sexual preference or anything like that. I like the fact that they fought for the rights of everyone and no matter if society accepted them or not, they always fought for brighter day and they had really good compelling stories that talked about things like prejudice issues Extermination and the way that they were written way ahead of their time and the story writing was just wow. You know Chris Claremont, John Byrne, Walter and Louis Simonson. Rob lifefield Jim Lee as well as a bunch of others. I'll be here all day writing X-Men writers and artists that really brought these characters to life. That's the essence of X-Men. That's the beauty of X-Men. I don't think that one particular race makes everything better. I think it's a collaboration of people and when we put out material like this it can send the wrong message. It doesn't say inclusion. It says exclusion

They look at colors and sexual preferences and things of that nature instead of like making just great stories with a great cast of characters and the X-Men have one of the greatest cast of characters of all time. So that's half the battle now. Make good stories around them that people want to pick up again like Jonathan Hickman wrote some really great stuff. That was great. The house of acts and all that but think about it. It was like one of the first things that we had seen in a long time. Those actual good stories for the X-Men they kind of do and don't and then they just stopped writing. Good for a long time and then give us a great story but then don't follow up with it so I'm hoping that they'll get the X-Men back on track one day and put the glory and the things that made the X-Men great. Whether if it's the stuff from the 70s to '80s the '90s that made it great. Bring it back and the characters that they have not really used in the right way. Make them part of the story again and write them great Gambit needs to come back. Havoc needs to be written better and needs to come back. Warren Worthington needs to come back and really get some good writing around him. There's just so many things that would really make things a lot better if they really focused in on them instead of color and sexual orientation and focused in on great comic book writing
These are the screwed up times we are living in. This whole comic is racist AF. Imagine going to nearly any anime universe, changing all the characters to white. Not just in skin color (which many already are) but in clothes, culture, mannerisms etc. And then sitting back and going. "Wow that was such an awesome change. I really want to see more of that! It was a really fun idea!" You need your heads checked if you've been brainwashed to believe can only do something (feel "represented") if you see your own skin color/culture do it.

Hey! I’m going to follow your channel. Based on these videos. You got a great Voice! Tip: Your sound bites cut in late, clip them a little shorter. So the sound plays quicker. That little pause is awkward ( unnecessary) you can clip it similar to how you do your voice. Tip2: The inserted clips volume comes in WAY to high. Balance them out so it’s makes a smooth transition back to your original video. While I don’t edit for CZcams I used to work with ESPN content and I still create for city. I'll be honest: the title/font was a little off-putting, and i don't have X-money to burn like i used to, so it just seemed like another title. BUT, hearing you cover this, getting previews of the art, and even just what little i'd gleaned from the character study/breakdowns, there's a lot to learn from this. hopefully, no sense of adventure lost, but yet again, an X-book willing to dive into a world that OUR world is clearly divided on... You got a great Voice!
Tip: Your sound bites cut in late, clip them a little shorter. So the sound plays quicker. That little pause is awkward ( unnecessary) you can clip it similar to how you do your voice.
Tip2: The inserted clips volume comes in WAY to high. Balance them out so it’s makes a smooth transition back to your original video.
While I don’t edit for CZcams I used to work with ESPN content and I still create for city.

@@hellblaze10 I think it would be good to make a good background. Like... why is everyone black? Did something happen? We know we had a lot of problems in our "reality" for everyone to be white in the high status. Why would Black be a predominant? Did they find America first? Did they enslave white people? Did they take Egypt? Macedonia? Let's talk about the Apartheid. Did the Blacks become a major force and then exiled the white people? And I'm black too. I like good story writing. If you're making a world, at least make some murky water about how some Reality is a racial utopia.

I'll be honest: the title/font was a little off-putting, and i don't have X-money to burn like i used to, so it just seemed like another title. BUT, hearing you cover this, getting previews of the art, and even just what little i'd gleaned from the character study/breakdowns, there's a lot to learn from this. hopefully, no sense of adventure lost, but yet again, an X-book willing to dive into a world that OUR world is clearly divided on... I'd say this is def a book worth checking out. MAYBE in trade, because - again - money. ugh.
