The Best Motivation to Pray - Julius Kim

- Julius Kim closes the Book of James with an explanation of why we should pray, tying together all the teachings from TGCW21. Kim connects all the previous teachings on steadfastness by describing what James meant in his closing statements of the book. Kim explains that what we pray about reveals the priorities of our hearts.
In his letter, James teaches us exactly what we should pray and why, listing four reasons why we should remain steadfast in prayer:
God hears us.
God heals us.
God forgives us.
God fortifies us.
Kim argues that when we pray, it is a grace by which we are strengthened, calling us all to steadfast prayer in the midst of suffering-just like our example, Christ Jesus.

IS THE pastor south korean ?
Has God changed? The answer to that would be a resounding NO! So, if God hasn't changed, why can I NOT expect God to heal in the miraculous ways He did in scripture??? Pastor Kim said this in his sermon and that really does not make any sense to me at all! The very scripture in James said we are to pray in faith for God to heal if we are sick.... so what is faith? Is that not expecting God to heal miraculously, regardless of whether it is a stumped toe or cancer? Why should we not expect miraculous healings like what happened in the Bible? I am sorry, but I cannot agree with you on that one Pastor.

Brother, God is the same yesterday, today, and forever ~ Hebrews 13:8 and you read from James 1:17-Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights, with whom is NO Variableness, neither shadow of turning. Just because others did not get healed, Your examples & experience of healing or the lack thereof, can never be allowed to redefine who He is or what He has promised. (When you expounded on James 1:17, you stopped at "Father of lights..." and didn't read the rest of the scripture.). Furthermore, please pray 🙏 for all the Asians and their families of whom were recently killed by Asian men (in California). How horrible ...Lord God have mercy. God still performs miracles/ healings today, at HIS will; whether the "elders" pray or not.
This is a really challenging time for me and my siblings. We are close to vacating our rented apartment which my parents rented before they passed on a few months back. Our landlord has no ears for excuses despite what we’ve been going through. I have school projects at hand and facing risks of dropping out Please help me whichever way. I know it’s really shameful to ask for help on here but I have no option and can’t keep mute any longer. I have seek help from family and friends and those around me and no one has come to my aide. Please I genuinely need help as I am currently thinking of giving my life up so as to sleep off and never wake up to see this dilemma. Having to eat once a day is a miracle. I have never been through such when I had my parents I never knew life could be this difficult please I really need help.
Stay strong sister. Keep putting one foot in front of the other. Take one day at a time. God knows how to get you through this. I'm sure you'll find yourself on the other side of this dark tunnel strong and ready to fight anything that comes your way. May God bless you with everything you need.

This makes no sense! Of God no longer heals that makes Jesus.Christ to be a liar. Who heals, Jesus Christ or James? Jesus said pray and he will answer. Why don’t we just trust.
If I may.. he said God can and will heal. But we have to trust that God is ultimately in control, especially when it feels or seems that God is not answering our prayers. God bless you. 🙏
@@SevinKBaK I agree with you God will heal if trust. Before we pray we must believe that God will hear our prayers. And he hears our prayers he is faithful to forgive our sins and heal our diseases. This is why prayer is so powerful.
