I'm a guitarist, as well as playing Guitar Hero. I've seen many a comment about which is better. I can say that it really depends on the song you are playing. For example, I can play War Ensemble by Slayer easier on guitar than Guitar Hero, and I can play Fade to Black by Metallica easier on Guitar Hero than Guitar.
I don't mean to brag, but that is simply my personal opinion.

Imagine playing this on Sudden Death mode (if there was even such a thing lol)
If you're playing battle mode there actually is a sudden death mode. If neither player is eliminated by the end of the song then the hyperspeed goes up even more and the first person to get the sudden death power up pretty much wins.

The Bass is always gonna be quiet in every song with vocals or the drums and the guitar are the ones that you are hearing.
However the bass is important, you may the hear the bass but it is there are provides a substance in the back. The deep resonating sound in the background is the bass.

After beating this, you should be able to beat This Day We Fight if you star power correctly, 2 months later I finally got ttfaf.
In raw NPS it is very close to TTFAF but it is easier than FOTS, even with a higher Nps, because most of it is just strumming.
However the drums is a vicious endurance test starting right after the mini solo before the verse before the main solo.
so now tdwf and sudden death have been fbfc'd on X+... BUT NOT HOLY WARS? hope that's coming up. anyway, sexy job on this one!
