I did not have the time to explain further during the interview that I am not your typical Seventh Day Adventist. I took my faith seriously and knew how to argue and have been well trained by my grandparents with Seventh Day Adventist doctrines and teachings, and most importantly I LIVED my Seventh Day Adventist faith sincerely. Infact, I studied and have my own library of reading materials on how to explain and defend the Seventh Day Adventist' beliefs and doctrines. I did not become Catholic because I knew nothing about being a Seventh Day Adventist, I became Catholic precisely because I knew my Seventh Day Adventist faith extremely well. Choosing the Catholic faith is not an "easy" route, especially contrary to what Seventh Day Adventists might believe because there are no dietary restrictions, etc. This is a very uninformed belief. I am ovo-pescatarian and have more than satisfied and have gone far beyond the dietary restrictions of SDA. I can confidently say I have kept my basic, first level SDA faith and moved forward and came to the fullness of that faith by coming home to the Catholic Church. Thank you Holy Spirit for your guidance! It really is true that if you seriously seek the truth, you will find it. Then again, we all have different faith journeys. I cannot make others pattern their story after mine, I can only share about God's grace and love and how it has brought me to the fullness of my Christian Faith, especially now that I am a Roman Catholic. When I was still in Ozamiz City several years ago, I met a woman there who frequently spent a lot of time daily in the Adoration chapel. Later I talked to her and I was surprised to know that she was a devout Seventh Day Adventist. She explained to me that one time she got in the chapel by accident . While there inside the Adoration chapel she experience peace within her soul - a kind of peace that she could not experience elsewhere but only in the Blessed Sacrament.
For me Everytime i enter the church i found peace ...the presence of god makes me feel,, hopeless i just wanted to cry,,infront of the altar...and talk to God while facing the altar..its.my way of praying..
I am embracing Catholicism also for years now, pero ayokong sabihin sa madla na magiging masarap at maginhawa sila sa catholicism. Para sakin, they/we have to prepare for hardship if they will embrace this one true church also.

Bobby Malingin, me too, I pray the rosary everyday and Divine Mercy Chaplet, noon puro lang trabaho siguro sabi ng panginoon puro lang ako trabaho walang time sa kanya na magpray ng rosary and Divine Mercy or minsan hinde nagchurch ng sunday dahil nagtatrabaho kahit sunday hinde ako naglaan ng kahit isang oras sa panginoon na magsimba kasi puro lang earthly things ang iniisip ko noon, noong nawalan ako ng trabaho doon ko narealized na God he wants me to repent from my sins and give time to him. So since then I always pray the rosary daily, Divine Mercy Chaplet daily it fights against the temptation to pray the rosary daily and I go to Mass every sunday dahil kasalanan sa Dios not to attend Sunday Mass.

Bembem, WELCOME HOME...Just learned how colorful your conversion was...as though flowers were spread on your way back home...you have all the energy and the eagerness of the Holy Spirit as it enlightens you to know about the TRUTH. The same with those who were converted to Catholicism, majority of them were converted by their own understanding about the faith not by being proselytized or being endoctrinated and the concrete example of this is the conversion of Bro. Alfie from INC. I also remember my classmate in college, because we both graduated in a Catholic school and she is an SDA. I would never forget her statement when we attended the Baccalaureate Mass-she said ' Oh, beautiful is the church service you have". Of course what she meant then was the Holy Eucharist. Well, you can see the beauty of our faith...the whole 1 to 2 hours of attending the mass is purely spend in prayers comparing this with other sects the whole 2 hours or even the whole day will be spent in homily...I guess homily is different from prayers meaning the Eucharist is celebrated in two parts. First, is the Liturgy and Second, the Communion....the most solemn part where the SUBSTANTIATION is going to happen... Sis. Bem, I also suggest you will download some music from TAIZE. it's a kind of meditative music that really sooth the spirit...It is also good to get along with this during your meditation...in your morning prayer or at Angelus...Someday, if you will find your lifetime partner(of course a Catholic partner,,haha) teach your children this way...Maybe through you we can revive the kind of life we once lived.."a prayer in the morning, 3 o'clock habbit, and Angelus at 6 (which are now almost forgotten because of men's different desires). Put this in mind "THE FAMILY THAT PRAYS TOGETHER,STAYS TOGETHER"by Fr. Peyton.
