So... T-Rex was the Nemesis of Dino Crisis 1. You can avoid it or have a small confrontation. But at the end of the game, you must confront it.

The most awesome games for PS1 imo. The 3rd Energy project, underwater gameplay, the military and research facilities, the music, the story. So cool. Love it!

I always considered that they took ideas from DC2, while developing Jurassic Park 3.

Number 1 was more survival horror while Number 2 felt more like an arcade game

One of the funniest things was when i was doing the best ending fight and my sister was watching she asked me why the T-rex was wearing roller skates.

I played this only recently via emulator. Still gave me that EXACT same feeling of dark chills despite its graphics. Could just be me and my childhood nostalgia or it's truly a great survival horror game.

Dino Crisis 2 was my shit. I loved that they pumped in more action, I had fun buying all the weapons and testing them out. Really was a diamond in the rough back then.

Dino Crisis 1 deserves a remake! So many memories playing that as a kid and it generally freaked me out but in a good way. To be honest the velociraptors scared me more than the T-Rex lol

This was a very Underrated game series
I played the first Dino Crisis game at Gen Con last year, and it was fun. Although, when I saw the Giganotosaurus from the second game, I wondered if maybe it might have been a mutant of some kind. Because not only did its head have a lot spikes, but the creature also appeared to be much bigger than its real world counterpart
Dino Crisis 2 came out in 2000 and the Giganotosaurus was discovered in 1993 and named in 1995 and at the time was considered to be the largest land based meat eating dino. So it was depicted as larger than the TRex and had spikes I'm guessing to make it look more evil.
Despite so, I actually like this Giga design. Its vocal is chilling too. Having multiple horns helps

Its worth noting that the Giga in this game had a mutation when it time traveled. Granting it a GIGA size increase as a result assuming you lot read the dino file about the Giga

That chase along the walkway and warehouse is beyond terrifying. At the same time I'm thinking that would be the same as someone tearing up a fridge over one fish stick
The whole T-Rex swimming and chasing hovercraft probably inspired by the Jurassic Park novel. They would added to the movie but due to technical difficulty they choose not to put it in the movie, since electricity and water didn't mixed together the robots keep getting fried on the water.

The 1st dino crisis Trex was so intimidating and scary. But how it keeps coming back is ridiculous.
If it's so hungry, why didn't it just do us a favour and eat some of the velociraptors/theriziniosaurs/pteranodons infesting Ibis Island? Or hell, any of the numerous human corpses for that matter?

DC2's T-Rex is even more ridiculous. That thing could take bullets AND tank shells. But then, it took an Ion Cannon to put the Gigantosaurus down, so I think realism is the least of our worries here.
This was pretty scary. It was like Jurassic Park meets Resident Evil.

I always found it funny that the models are different for the cut-scene T-Rex and the live one. The cut-scene T-Rex's head is pinched so narrowly at the top and just loops strange lol. Also he's bigger in the opening scene than he is in the rest of the game.
I bet Cooper and Regina was thinking where is King Kong 🦍 when you need him?

Dinocrisis 2 is the fking best dinosaur game until now, still replayed over 30 times and still wont get bored... I do hope Capcom will remaster it so we can play the HD version, not remake it

Huh...weird. During the Plesiosaur and Triceratop fight, I...somehow remember seeing these fights back then. Even that Gigantosaurus entrance and fight is all-too familiar as well. Maybe I saw my uncle played Dino Crisis? He did like playing these type of games back then, like Tomb Raider and Redident Evil.

I'd rather prefer DC4 as a continue prologue of the 2 previous one. Since DC3 was a total disaster.

Some things I think about would make this game even more terrifying, if we don’t see the T-Rex kill Cooper in the beginning. That shock value of the Rex breaking the glass is terrifying, but what if we didn’t even know it was the big bad enemy until that scene? And then we could see a cut scene of surveillance camera video of his death like the opening animation.

Dino Crisis 1 and 2 need a remake. The first game could be remade in the same way Resident Evil 1 was remade while the second game, being more action-packed, could take more inspiration from Resident Evil 4's remake.

Dino crisis 2...................................... O M G. I played both by the way. But what a great game. You know what I want? I want a real new Dino crisis in the modern age, but one that is even better than Dino Crisis 2 and a 60 hour story that is beyond epic with the whole weapons systems etc. It would be a dream come true!
