  • You have got to watch through the entirety!
    It’s been 90 days now that the Kodiak Canvas has been set up.
    90-95 degree highs (with 110 degrees inside).
    10 degrees low.
    It’s been 3 months now. How’s it holdin’ up?
    Should I invest $1,000,000 over the next 10 years with Kodiak?
    In this video, I mention:
    amzn.to/3SruHzW The EcoFlow Delta 2 1,024 watt power station that’s awesome!
    amzn.to/470zhcP The Mofi 4G LTE Wireless Internet via CELLULAR! (I LOVE this, and have used it for 3 years now!)
    amzn.to/3FMfq5b The Alpine Wood Stove from Camp Chef that I talk about a lot and just LOVE!
    amzn.to/46U6yqa The firewood rack and tool set that I use with the wood stove set up.
    amzn.to/3scaX93 The Kodiak Canvas Amazon site. (They do not sell the model 6170 that is the 12x12 with the 8x8 enclosure on Amazon).
    As an Amazon Associate I earn from qualifying purchases. In fact, it’d be nice to earn enough to obtain and test more things that make life just so much easier and more comfortable for the off grid lifestyle.

    Love the message on this as a single father raising two you kids it is important to teach them how to live with the basics in life
    Living in the city rent + daycare+ living expenses is becoming unrealistic you can't even afford to get into a starter home unless you have 1 or 2 incomes that equal $40 plus an hour getting back to the basics of life
    Build what you need
    Cut out unnecessary aspects products things society tells you you need and just enjoy life nature and be happy

    Even if there were no vents ... the canvas breathes. There is no condensation. Air constantly circulates through canvas. So does heat.

    Thank you for answering.
    I’ll be acquiring either the 12x12 or the 16x12 soon.
    Leaning toward 12x12 with add-on like you have.
    Good luck!

      You’re very welcome!
      Kodiak came out with the new 12x16 right after I purchased the 12x12.
      Glad you’re getting set up with Kodiak. I love mine!

      You’re very welcome.
      I’m glad you found the information helpful!
      I definitely highly recommend the Kodiak Canvas brand. And; of course, I love my #6170 12x12 cabin lodge tent (and the 8x8 enclosed awning!).

    What is one of the things you would say is a take home point after 90 days? Positive? Negative? Would you have done anything different when you started if you knew then what you know now

    • @SundanceSerenityHideaway
      @SundanceSerenityHideaway  Před 8 měsíci +1

      Actually, I would have done everything the same. Everything about the experience has been positive!

    How did you learn to be a survivalist? What does someone have to do to be able to experience what you are experiencing and do you have or are you.planning.events or camps? Any ideas on cost and how long they would be?

    • @SundanceSerenityHideaway
      @SundanceSerenityHideaway  Před 8 měsíci

      A life-long journey of learning.
      I am planning on having this as a retreat for folks starting next April or May.
      I plan on inviting groups of 10 at a time to keep the groups small, and have them learn hands-on how to do things.
      I haven’t figured out the appropriate cost structure yet. However, I plan on each group to stay for 7 days.
      Thanks for the questions!

    Have you thought about building a cabin to expand?

    • @SundanceSerenityHideaway
      @SundanceSerenityHideaway  Před 8 měsíci +1

      Yes. Saving up money to drill a well, put in a septic system, and then build a cabin.

    How often do you come down from where you are?

    • @SundanceSerenityHideaway
      @SundanceSerenityHideaway  Před 8 měsíci

      Pretty rarely actually. Going into the city is torture to me. I try to avoid it as much as possible. Sometimes work requires me to physically be there though in the city.
