If he won the electronic jackpots that easily then they were set to easier settings. Another guy built a robot to do it and it still would fail because the machines cheat on the electronic games.

In another video from the same CZcamsr he covered some carnival games and the rope ladder is the easiest one to consistently beat if you have good technique and physical balance. and for that reason the carnival limits the number of times you can play that game. @WungusBill I mostly agree, but there are aspects that are sort of "scam-like". For example, the games where you basically just exchange quarters/tokens for tickets(like coin pusher machines) which are particularly attractive to and used mostly by children(since they are most likely to want to exchange tickets for prizes, and they know they're parents aren't going to just buy those things for them(not to mention the prizes at these places are often very shitty, and much less expensive than they look, such as those stuffed animals at carnivals that don't have actual stuffing, but that crunchy, bean like packing peanut stuff.)) Though I will admit the prizes are much better at many of these places than when I was a kid, which consisted largely of bouncy balls and Chinese finger traps, and high end prizes like phones and t.v.s that were like a decade or two out of date, and would be there year after year because you needed so many tickets to get them. Also, some youtubers(I believe Mark rober was one, maybe not) exposed how some of these machines that look like chance/luck, with a bit of skill or timing thrown in, are actually rigged. For example, you're probably familiar with the one where there's a series of lights in a ring around the machine, with a glass/plastic dome over the top, and (usual) four player positions around the circle at the N, E, S, W locations. The lights light up one at a time, going around the circle, and the foam is to hit the button when the light right in front of you lights up. This gives you the impression that, if there's say, 360 lights around board, and you pressed your button at random without looking at the board at all, you would have a 1/360 chance of winning. But you don't. The machine is altered so that it is much harder to get the light to stop on your bulb than any of the other bulbs. The owners(like many other machines, including things like the claw machine) can actually alter these machines to make it harder or easier to win, to pay out more or less often, etc. Then there are versions of carnival games(the bowling ball on the metal rack thing, knocking over milk cartons, basketball hoops that are smaller than they look, basket toss, and other similar games that are actually significantly harder than they look(actually, I remember as a kid I was at a yearly fair in my town, and they had a skateboard as a prize that I wanted, and in order to win the "big" prize, you had to shoot a crossbow arrow into a star(which is already a bit harder than it looks, as stars have a relatively small area for how large they are, and you had the arrow had to land completely inside the star. Not to mention I'm sure they're crossbows(and rifles/pellet guns, etc.) were highly innacurrate.) So my dad lines up, resting his arms on the counter, takes his time, and hits the star dead center on his first try(I'm it was mostly luck, but still, everyone was cheering and all excited.) Then the Carney guy running the booth goes up and looks, and says my dad didn't hit the right _part_ of the star! Lol. Everyone started booing, and then left, including the people waiting in line, and the guy was like, "okay, okay, I'll give it to you this time." And that's the story of how I got my super awesome Bart Simpson skateboard. Lol. But I generally agree. The arcade isn't really a "scam" per se. Tbh idk if he was trying to clap cheeks or he just felt bad for us since he knew we were struggling, but I got really good at arcade games and it gave me a better appreciation as a late 90s kid for all the 70s and 80s kids that got to grow up going to arcades.

You can def make profit. I do this kind of thing at dave and busters and over the years I've gotten. Ps3, ps4, Nintendo DS, and about a dozen games. Wednesdays are half price games and they have double coups so you can spend $20, get $40 worth, then play on Wednesday where your $40 plays $80 worth

Idk, there are some places that give enough tickets for a ~200$ prize in just 1 trip, although they're usually horrendously rigged against you, always stay away from digital only games.
That's exactly what I was thinking. He shows him getting the high score on those first few games and even if you do that with games like basketball you barely get any tickets. They aren't really games to get tickets on. And he hit a jackpot on like 3 or 4 games. That wouldn't even be enough tickets for a big teddy bear, let alone a switch.
We walked into this empty arcade and my kid walked over to that one where you hit with the hammer and got jackpot first hit! Couldn't replicate but he was so excited. It was adorable because the first thing he did (age 7 at the time) when we got to the counter to pick prizes was say "mom, sis, pick whatever you want! I'm buying." It was so precious. I let him pick me out something small and he got me a mood ring. It was so sweet. Will never forget that because his dad was the opposite of that and it made me so happy he is becoming his own generous loving little man inside. 🥰

I once calculated how much money you'd need to spend in the most efficient way to gather tickets with my local arcade. Even if you won the maximum amount that arcade allowed per game on each try. The amount of times you needed to play would still inflate the price of the Xbox they had to 1,5x it would cost to just buy it outright from a store

I work at an arcade, once you master the games it's so easy to win tickets I've earned roughly about 100,000 tickets so far, but the arcade I work at has the jackpots set at like 500 max which sucks

You can def make profit. I do this kind of thing at dave and busters and over the years I've gotten. Ps3, ps4, Nintendo DS, and about a dozen games. Wednesdays are half price games and they have double coups so you can spend $20, get $40 worth, then play on Wednesday where your $40 plays $80 worth

That's exactly what I was thinking. He shows him getting the high score on those first few games and even if you do that with games like basketball you barely get any tickets. They aren't really games to get tickets on. And he hit a jackpot on like 3 or 4 games. That wouldn't even be enough tickets for a big teddy bear, let alone a switch.

We walked into this empty arcade and my kid walked over to that one where you hit with the hammer and got jackpot first hit! Couldn't replicate but he was so excited. It was adorable because the first thing he did (age 7 at the time) when we got to the counter to pick prizes was say "mom, sis, pick whatever you want! I'm buying." It was so precious. I let him pick me out something small and he got me a mood ring. It was so sweet. Will never forget that because his dad was the opposite of that and it made me so happy he is becoming his own generous loving little man inside. 🥰

I once calculated how much money you'd need to spend in the most efficient way to gather tickets with my local arcade.
Even if you won the maximum amount that arcade allowed per game on each try. The amount of times you needed to play would still inflate the price of the Xbox they had to 1,5x it would cost to just buy it outright from a store

I work at an arcade, once you master the games it's so easy to win tickets I've earned roughly about 100,000 tickets so far, but the arcade I work at has the jackpots set at like 500 max which sucks
