When I was a kid the arcade I went to had a fishing game where you pressed a button to drop a magnet onto fish and you had 1 minute to get as many points as possible and at certain times the light would blink indicating double points. If you got 1000 points you got the jackpot of 1000 tickets. I was able to figure out to win that jackpot you needed to catch only the 100 point fish and they needed to have their points doubled. The only way to do this was to put the quartet in at a very precise time and then press the button at very precise timing. After some practice I could do it every time and felt like such a badass asking for tickets to be refilled.
These kind of people are my heroes during my childhood. Always amazed to see them do great at what they do. Be it that dancing Jam thing, Guitar Hero, Pinball, etc. Always wishing I was that good.

The owner of the arcade turns off the bullshit setting on on the machines so they actually work right and don’t intentionally fuck up your shit. Even the nba hoops game makes the rim more rigid to fuck up your shots unless you turn it off

When I was a kid the arcade I went to had a fishing game where you pressed a button to drop a magnet onto fish and you had 1 minute to get as many points as possible and at certain times the light would blink indicating double points. If you got 1000 points you got the jackpot of 1000 tickets.
I was able to figure out to win that jackpot you needed to catch only the 100 point fish and they needed to have their points doubled. The only way to do this was to put the quartet in at a very precise time and then press the button at very precise timing. After some practice I could do it every time and felt like such a badass asking for tickets to be refilled.
