Braun Oxyjet tubing repair very cheap and very simple

Our Braun Oxyjet suffered from a brittle tubing running to the jet sprayer. I like our Waterpik better (the jet is more effective and the apparatus lasts already for 30 years) but I want to keep the Braun Oxyjet running too. I discovered how you can repair the tubing simple and very cheap. Maybe currently sold Oxyjets have better quality tubing. Our Oxyjet was bought approximately in 2012 or so (it is 2022 now).

I used the silicone tube and within seconds it burst so I bought a replacement tube from Ali Express which I am installing now with these instructions (thank you!). Will see if I manage it this time.

I used this advice to fix mine but used nylon tubing instead of silicone. Silicone is too flexible and loses too much pressure. Nylon is stiffer so it maintains pressure and doesn't jiggle around when the Oxyjet is running. Being stronger, it should last longer, too.

that was very informative as I just burst my tubing hose trying to clean the system with extremely hot water.... lol
