Goede uitleg! Ik, Chantal, heb een piaggio Ape waarvan ik de spanningsregelaar wil door meten. Start slecht en heb net nieuwe accu en bougie. Doet het nog niet. Klopt het dat ik de meter op volt zet (20?) En dan de accu polen meet? Miss stomme vraag maar moet ik het contact daar voor aanzetten vd Ape? En een waarde onder 12 en boven 15 is NIET goed? Groetjes!

It always strikes me as an odd way to spot weld, although everyone I see using these welders uses it the same way. It seems logical to me to have a relatively large contact the goes onto the battery terminal that is being welded - purely to connect to it as a conductor - then have the second contact with a small rounded tip which is pushed down onto the nickel strip. In this way none of the current is being shorted directly by the nickel, it is all being conducted by the contact point between the battery terminal and the strip. That ought to give a much stronger weld than the way it is usually seen to be done. Curious to know if anyone has tested this theory?

This was amazing! So well explained, so detailed but no fluff. I also got an extra tip or two (like cleaning whilst open and/or the jet/spray modes, which I didn't know after > 10 years of owning it). I was pondering on disposing of the Waterpik, but thanks to you, it's become easy-peasy and a great save! Thank you!!

There's a much easier way to fix it. Take the dirt blaster off, drain any water out and dribble some ordinary oil down the outlet hole. That's it, no dismantling needed.

Great stuff Gerard! shows how fantastic extractions are possible and how it is possible to modify machines . . . there are many hobbies and this is every bit the equal of working on a vintage Ferrari or other Supercar but the machines can be lifted and the parts are far more precise. Bravo Gerard!

For this type of hub this is the only way to open it. Not good design compared others. I have a Genze ebike with this part number CS3612 M155 ADH094130 on the motor. I think it has a bad hall sensor.

There's no option to "accept" the failure message as suggested, because (at least in my case), the motor does not support any longer as soon as the failure occurs. There's only an almost useless "emergency mode" with a minimum motor support, so I hope I can find and fix the failure with help of your description. Thanks for the video !

Het nut en noodzaak van het goed reinigen van het caravan-toilet wordt goed duidelijk gemaakt. Zelf reinig ik de afvaltank bij terugkeer van de vakantie met de Duo Tank Cleaner van Thetford. Als je dit doet zoels aangegeven op de flacon, is de tank volstrekt schoon. Geen resten van fecaliën en/of onaangename geuren. Na de vakantie spuit ik alle rubbers, maar ook de klep, in met siliconenspray, ook van Thetford. Dit voorkomt lijkt het dat er kalkaanslag hecht aan de onderdelen. Gedurende de bij a 40 jaar dat ik kom in Frankrijk heb ik, zo erg, nog niet meegemaakt. Tijdens de vakantie, spuit ik na iedere keer dat het toilet geleegd is, de pot in met Toilet bowl cleaner. Ik laat dat even inweken en spoel dat vervolgens weg. Wellicht dat dit ook de kalkaanslag voorkomt (of verwijderd). Maar ja, zo heeft iedereen zijn eigen methoden.

Hi Gerard, ik heb precies dit model, sinds vanmorgen verwarmd het alleen nog, en draait het niet meer.. met schoon water gecontroleerd en idd alleen verwarmen, het draait niet meer. Enig idee wat te doen? Bedankt!

Het rubber verhitten met een föhn werkt ook goed. Niet te lang en stukje voor stukje als je het alleen doet maar het rubber gaat er makkelijker in.

I rarely comment on youtube videos. I was struggling with my brand new Makita hedge trimmer, trying to figure out how to attach it. I tried everything, including reading the manual. Even my wife, who is way smarter than me, couldn’t figure it out. So, I decided to search for a solution on youtube. After scrolling through numerous poor-quality review videos, I stumbled upon an old gentleman explaining that you had to reverse the pivot piece to connect the trimmer. Snap it, done! The manual didn’t mention that, not in any language I could understand. I left a comment thanking Gerard, the creator of the video. His wisdom and helpful advice made me think he was worth a subscription. I decided to check his profile. To my surprise, he announced that he wouldn’t be posting any new videos because he had chosen not to continue his battle with cancer. I felt a connection with this man. He had lived a full life; traveling, getting married, enjoying his cars, bikes, music, and his organized chaos. Thank you, Gerard, for being so kind and helping me with my hedge trimmer. I wish the internet had more people like you.

Worst hedge trimmer ever….i have an old 12v black and decker is far more powerful. I have tons of 18v Makita tools that work great, this is my worst. I can trim new boxwood growth, very soft. That’s it.

I used the silicone tube and within seconds it burst so I bought a replacement tube from Ali Express which I am installing now with these instructions (thank you!). Will see if I manage it this time.

Dank voor je heldere uitleg, Gerard. ...Toch zou ik er niet aan beginnen als je niet heel handig bent. Ik verbouw hele huizen en ik heb ook best een fijne motoriek, maar op z'n zachts gezegd vind ik het 'een uitdaging'. Het is mij niet gelukt om de eerste hor in elkaar te zetten zonder het gaas te beschadigen (een paar kleine scheurtjes langs de kant doordat je vrij gauw uitschiet met het plastic tooltje). Wat mij geholpen heeft is eerst met stift een kader op het gaas tekenen dat ongeveer 2 cm groter is dan waar je het gaas met de rubberen strip vastzet. Daarna heb ik rondom het gaas eerst onder lichte spanning vastgezet met kleine stukjes van de rubberen strip. Als je die stukjes voor de helft in de rand van het frame drukt, kun je deze er tijdens het afmonteren van het gaas eenvoudig weer uittrekken. Door de vooraf getekende lijnen kun je zien of je recht gaat (dus overal ongeveer evenveel spanning hebt). ...Als het kan zou ik de hor op/tegen het kozijn monteren en niet er in (dagmaat). Het frame gaat (zoals Gerard aangaf) onder de spanning van het gaas een beetje krom staan. Bij montage op/tegen het kozijn krijg je geen kieren en zie je een lichte kromming niet of nauwelijks. Ga bij de eerste hor uit van minstens een halve dag werk.

Infelizmente só se descobre as falhas usando o equipamento. Adquiri o equipamento recentemente mas ainda não fiz nenhum serviço. Deixei de importar outra marca da China pelo receio do custo de importação adotado neste momento pelo governo atual, optando por comprar essa máquina por aqui mesmo para fazer modificação em minhas parafusadeiras com baterias 18650. Fiz um simples teste e me senti satisfeito com o resultado. Vamos ver futuramente. Obrigado pelo aviso.

Easiest is to cut a 5mm long piece off then put it in a shotglass of muriactic acid plus hydrogen peroxide 3% strength. 10 parts peroxide to 1 part of muriatic acid . Then wait. If the strip is pure nickel you will have an emerald green solution, if steel it will be a brownish orange.❤

Have to say thanks for this. I will use this method. I also saw a vid where a chap too the blade out (in this case a circular saw) and flipped it the other way around in the saw, then he clamped it, and while running the blade "backwards" he ran it against an old sharpening stone - just gently. You might find this interesting, though not sure if it would work for a drop-saw, and not sure if it would work with tungsten carbide tips. What you put on wire called flux not soldering resin also your soldering wrong thats why you have lumps. Always place soldering iron UNDER the wire and solder on top of the wire. Solder is suppose to flow into the wire. Why didnt you use longer cables.?

I used this advice to fix mine but used nylon tubing instead of silicone. Silicone is too flexible and loses too much pressure. Nylon is stiffer so it maintains pressure and doesn't jiggle around when the Oxyjet is running. Being stronger, it should last longer, too.
