    💜 ABOUT ME:
    Hi and welcome! I'm Tanya and the only thing I like more than learning languages is probably talking about learning languages (well, that and hoarding language books).
    My native language is Russian and I'm currently in different stages of learning English, Spanish, Polish, Italian, Korean, and Japanese.

      Hi Madison! What a coincidence - I actually found your channel through your 2023 language goals video in the beginning of January and I'm pretty sure I've seen most of your language videos at this point 💜 Best of luck with Russian if you're still learning it!

      I am going to be honest, I had to use a translator because right now I can only say and understand things like "Πού είναι τα ρούχα του πορτοκαλί ελέφαντα;" and other nonsense Duolingo teaches me, but I actually have a Greek class scheduled for March, so hopefully I'll start making progress faster once I have a teacher. Thank you for offering you help 💜 I think the more I learn, the more questions I'm going to have, so any help will be greatly appreciated!

    Hi :)
    I'm facing the exact same situation with Italian : I learnt the language by watching vlogs and using Memrise without studying grammar (i'm French). But I recently bought a grammar book to get better at it :) it's funny to finally discover the difference between 'i' and 'gli' 😂
    Which Italian podcasts do you listen to? I'm always looking for new ones, I love podcasts.
    Love your videos, keep going :) very motivating 💜

      I really like Podcast Italiano (the interviews are so good!). Vaporetto Italiano is another great one, especially the episodes in which the host talks about his life and experiences (I'm not really a fan of the podcasts/videos where they talk about Italian culture/food/history to be honest 😅). Teacher Stefano show is great too! All of these also have youtube channels but I prefer the content of the podcasts.

    Yeah three languages at the same time is really overwhelming, but I can not help it as well 😂 How do you count time you spent learning languages? I mean you write it, or you have an app? I didn't catch that 😅P.S. Nice handwriting 😍

  • @teddvstheworld

    sorry for the long comment but when did you start learning Spanish? Even though i'm also (almost) advanced input wise and have been learning for a little over 3 years now my active skills and grammar skills have gotten so bad cuz i never practice those. how often did you review grammar when you were at the lower levels? or how did u just use new textbooks that cover the same material so it's kinda a review?

    • @tbenavente
      @tbenavente  Před rokem +3

      I started in 2015 but I haven't been consistent at all, so I have no idea how much time I actually spent on my Spanish. I almost never go back to review the same material, most of the time I just move on and hope that exposure to the language will do its thing. But the thing you mentioned about using another textbook is a good option, I have done it with Japanese and it seemed to work

      @tbenavente  Před rokem +2

      I can make sentences, even speak if needed, but that's because I copy a lot of things from Spanish and sometimes it makes sense in Italian but more often it doesn't 😅

    • @reveterne
      @reveterne Před 10 měsíci

      As a Spanish speaker, I've been learning English for several years since I was a teen and still costs me to produce my own sentences too. 😭😭 I just can read it and hear it. And if I'm capable of produce my own sentences, I will always go to the translator to know if I wrote it well, just like I did with this sentence. 🫠
