- In this three part video, I walk through the famous Volo Museum (formerly the Volo Auto Museum), located in the small town of Volo, Illinois, northwest of Chicago. This video is PART 1 of the three.
The video takes you through all five of the auto barns (the museum calls them "Showrooms" since most of the cars are actually for sale, with the price posted on each car's windshield); they are also a huge buyer of antique and vintage cars. Turnover of the cars in this museum is probably fairly high, so which cars are actually in the museum from day to day is likely to change a lot. Also included herein are all of the museum's collection of TV and movie cars.
In addition, this series of videos includes all of the secondary exhibits, including the Military Museum, Titanic (ship) Exhibit, the Carousel and Fairground/Band Organ exhibits, the tractor collection, motorcycles and scooters, jukeboxes, outboard motors, the early camper/RV/motorhome exhibit, trains, etc. HOWEVER, I only show the "Jurassic Gardens" from the outside, and the large set of connected antique malls are also only shown externally. - Jak na to + styl
this is the stuff you make i like the most especially about your knowledgable narration. looking forward to watching this later today
Hi Paul, I've been wanting to make a trip there myself for a while. A very interesting place indeed. Thank you for sharing your wonderful video. I love your narration as always!
A great video! Thank you Sir
Hi Paul , I am enjoying the new videos. Have you visited the House on the rock? Spring Green Wisconsin. A fabulous place with a strong Frank Lloyd Wright feeling. I have heard that the man who built House on the rock apprenticed with or in some way collaborated with Mr. Wright. Ten thousand thumbs up on your Tuna casserole! I remember seeing a similar recipe on the back of Jay’s potato chips back in the early sixties. We had it in various forms quite often. Thanks for the memories. By the way I grew up in Lombard Illinois.Graduated Glenbard East High School in 1973. Go Rams!

Nothing annoys me more than a museum (etc) that blasts 'canned' muzak at you at deafening levels. Turned the audio off, so I could watch in silence!
hamshackleton, yes I found it annoying as well, and it is made worse because each auto barn/showroom has multiple kinds of music playing at once from different speakers. I muted the audio much of the time I was in those areas, unless I was saying something. Even with that, CZcams's algorithm 'hit' me several times with copyright violations, but I was still allowed to post these videos. Happily, the
non-auto parts of the museum are not as bad in this regard.
I'm as bored as you sound.
Davidrice, I would hate to be you....
