    Works great in other countries.
    The problem is the useless referees, scrapping VAR and keeping the refs is like a crap restaurant getting rid of all the kitchen equipment and keeping the chefs.

  • @Kuddochan
    @Kuddochan Před 20 dny +11

    Wouldn't solve the problem, it's the implementation in England that's been poor. Elsewhere in Europe it works alright.

      Getting rid of it, would mean there is no var problem to solve

    • @Kuddochan

      @@jjtotheb No but it'd reintroduce the issues we had without VAR instead, so it doesn't solve the problem of bad decisions being made

    It’s not the VAR it’s the officials who can’t use it properly

    why scrap the VAR, what needs to be done is deploy the offside auto detection and save us unnecessary review and stoppage times

    The joy of celebrating a goal after a quick glance at the linesman. Please bring that back

    • @LazarouDave
      @LazarouDave Před 20 dny

      You still can, only about 4% of goals have been chalked off by VAR this season.
      You're gonna tell me that's really enough reason to not celebrate, even though basically everyone still does?

    • @alanwylde8617
      @alanwylde8617 Před 20 dny +2

      @@LazarouDave It might be 4% but how many goals are VAR checked on the screens or kick-offs delayed whilst the ref stands there with his finger in his ear? As a fan in the ground, the immediate reaction to a goal has greatly diminished. You still go up when the ball hits the net but the ecstasy has gone - you are waiting for the kick off to be sure it's a goal and you don't get the same rush at that do you? VAR has completely changed the game for the spectator in the ground - for me, it's ruined it to the point of no longer attending over the past few weeks even with a season ticket and looking to follow the EFL instead. Maybe that's a sacrifice worth making so a few clubs are better prepared for European competitions but don't pretend that it's not real.

    I got sacked making a single error at work. Can we ask Howard Webb why these referees have still kept their jobs when they're constantly making mistakes and bad decisions. If 99% of fans and players can see an obvious outcome after only seeing 2-3 different angels of an incident then why the f are these refs getting away with it in the VAR room.

    What about the Moutinho handball penalty when ball hit the side of his chest!!! Thinking that was true top 6 referee decision against Wolves just like every season against lower clubs

  • @solarenergynow08

    I do not see it as an issue to play PL without VAR and Europe with it...the ball and rules are still the same... I was for VAR but when I still see the penalty on Gordon not given (ref did you f__ing see the gash on his heel and the hole on his sock?) or the reviews of buildups to goals scored...it reminds me of bureacrats in charge, not football people.
    The rules on handball and offside have to be clear and precise; hopefully favor the attacking team for offsides and end those unnatural position handballs. Old school handballs were VERY clear in the players' intention to hand the ball, period. in doubt, it was not given.

    Video Assistance Technology is a blessing to football, those put in charge of using it, are either incompetent or corrupt or both.
    They are the ones to be reviewed and held accountable.

    Problem is the sanctions on the var refs should be stiff because unlike the onfield ref, they have the benefit of technology yet they make biased conclusions which I believe are often deliberate, yet always get away with it

  • @curtisbritcher7373
    @curtisbritcher7373 Před 20 dny +1

    Wrong direction… keep VAR and ADD TAZERS to refs making the wrong decisions. Consequence effects performance… Seriously, want to shake up the football world, change the offside rule to onside until fully beyond penultimate player or ball. Takes VAR delays for offsides entirely out of the game and elevates scoring situations. Subjective decisions should always be made by the on field ref. Toss the off field monitor. Stadiums have monster screens, use them as the source of review in real time with fans watching. That’s excitement.

    It doesn't matter how much money has been invested in it.
    It doesn't matter that there have been less wrong decisions, because there will always be wrong decisions.
    We don't need to referee the refs on the pitch, just let them get on with it, and let us enjoy our beautiful game again.

    ○VAR only worth it if 100% accurate. Ruins atmosphere & drives fans to NFL & Cricket T20 & Ryder Cup. Which are much fairer sports with skippers appeals & parity.
    All NFL teams fans know thier team can win a superbowl within 3 yrs due to 1- fair fixed salary cap & 2- draft with weakest teams getting best players & 3- squad limits.
    Soccer is dying as fans hate 114 FFP crimes club winning it all.

    T20 &
    Ashes cricket &
    Rugby Lions &
