That comment goes to show that condition matters on how long it lasted and stood up to be recognizable, that everlasting gobstopper is in fact, possessing the characteristics of 'good' condition.

This particular one is probably one of the 4 that were handed to the actors in the movie so that's even more valuable.

I don't really think it is that scripted, to be honest. The difference with this and other reality shows... this is an actual pawn shop. Rick's just geeking out over the Wonka stuff.

You're entitled to your opinion, but I can assure you with 100% certainty that every segment on Pawn Stars is written, edited, shot with multiple takes, and in a nutshell, completely fake. Take an item in there to sell and see if Rick or Corey comes up to the counter......you won't see them anywhere. The way they haggle and make deals just does not happen that way in real life. The only people that would believe that this show is real are people that have never been to a pawn shop or never bought/sold second-hand items.

No, you're not going to see Rick or Corey unless you just happen to bring something interesting on a day they're shooting and they want to include it in the show, and you agree to be included. That's just the nature of TV.
But claiming it is scripted to the point that it "in no way reflects reality" is nonsense. The extent to which they are scripted is as far as is needed to make the show. Anything more would be risky, as it could undermine the popularity of the show -- if people think it's fake, they're not going to watch.

This stuff shouldn't be sold, and definitely not to a pawn shop. No matter how popular it is to today's society. Hands down it's Museum quality material. Cool to see the stuff but sad.
