If his trainer hadn't been such a freaking wuss, I really think they could have been an amazing team. Granted, I'm glad Charmander made him wild again, but hey, I'D want him on my team.
I would have swooped in and saved that Flareon. Any trainer would need 8 gym badges to get me to listen to their commands, being level 81, but at least I have a heart. I am assuming this Flareon is around level 33, so I know I must be really careful; but I would have to service that Charmander.

When you think about it, this is probably one of the best Pokemon animations ever. It's so developed, and it actually has some sense of emotion and tension. All of the characters have some sort of personality, and it fits the series so well.

Guys you should be satisfied waiting one year for a 9 minute episode. most of the animators take at least one month to produce a 30-60 second animation. Shippidge is also working alone and he has a life too so go watch other things while waiting for another episode of starter squad and show some support to keep shippidge motivated.

Pretty much my only complaint with this series (besides the long waits between episodes, which are understandable given the results) is how Bulbasaur is really just stuck on the sidelines. Almost every episode is just about a new character/event being used to highlight the differences between Charmander's headstrong, screw-the-rules, murderous approach and Squirtle's calculating, calmer, please-stop-it-Charmander one, and Bulbasaur offers some comic relief every couple minutes. I don't think he's actually had an important role besides the one where he got poisoned and the rest of the episode was spent trying to get him an antidote. I feel like giving Bulbasaur more focus, and less focus on Char and Squirt's repeated arguing over what's effectively the same topic each time, would give more variety and longevity to the series. Obviously it's still really good as is, but without any changes it'll become horribly formulaic by episode 10-11. Just thought this might be some constructive criticism you could use.
Also, Flareon really sounded like he was voiced by Tom Fawkes at first.

I think the clue was that squirtle will actually be trained and evolve, hence the you will leave a diffrent pokemon, that pokemon being wartortle.
