I’m heading out to north west island in a couple weeks and my heaviest is a pe6 setup that holds a bit over 300m of line, do you reckon it would be safe to target mackies and bangers without being spooled or do you reckon it’s not enough stopping power/line capacity? i thought there is nobody better to ask than you just cause you’ve fished the great barrier more than most people ever will. Thanks 👍
spend the time looking at your sounder and make sure you have decent leader I run 100lb nomad because Barra have quite abrasive teeth, basically all terminals like hooks, leader and lures need to be on point
I see your using a Hummingbird Sounder, was thinking of getting one, but still tossing up between Hummingbird or Laurence. Any feedback would be much appreciated and that is hell fishing guys
A: Queensland law states you are allowed four pots per person, and 10 male crabs PER PERSON IN POSSESSION. It is NOT 10 crabs per day. (it's illegal to take female crabs in Queensland). Minimum 'take' size on male mud crabs is 15cm.

I just moved back to the NT and am restarting my salt water barra journey. I will definitely be following you on yours for some good pointers.

ive never seen a clearer image than the hummingbird. simple to use and incredible mapping cards aswell

yeah those were gimp prawns I ran that one prawn for 2 day. extremely tough lure and was very confident with one tied on.
