I don't know if it's weird but living in Kenya, right at the equator, I've seen enough sunny days to last a lifetime so I really love rainy dull days. This kind of video, in this beautiful city, fills me with deep unexplainable joy.
London is magical. So much history. ❤❤❤
I miss London, but the London I know it`s crowded and lively and awesome in every sense..the London I see here looks sad and empty almost devoid of life and emotion, let`s pray things would go back to normal soon because we all want that other London back and I can`t wait to be there again.
I loved to hear the London bells.🙂
Thank you for showing an area of the City that is historically very important, interesting, beautiful and not yet dominated by too many souless glass and steel office blocks. First class video.
Thank you peckinpahlady.
Love these quiet strolls..I feel, like I’m walking them with you...
Thanks for walking with me Jul!
I thoroughly enjoy your videos! There are so many hidden gems to see, buildings, courtyards, all the ornate carvings on doors, etc. It is sometimes overwhelming to me. In Southern California, there seems to be nothing like that. In North Carolina, there is some, but the city of Charlotte tends to tear those buildings down and replace with modern. There are people who fight against this. Thank you so much. Be safe...
Another excellent walk Sampo. Once again showing the hidden courts and alleys. Keeping me sane in this mad world. 👍
This youtube channel is helping to keep me a little happier and so sort the "home sick" i feel about London as I used to live there
Me too!
Me too. I prey for London.
Thank you guys!
I am so happy to hear that my videos are helping in a small way during this pandemic. I hope you get to travel back to London soon.
There are many people like me... I feel kinda sad when I see these beautiful places again but this time not personally...
It's nice watching your videos of walking in London streets and this way you show what we never see in our life. Hats off to you.
Hello KS GHAI, thank you for joining on this walk! Southall has been on my list, I will visit when this lockdown is lifted.
Thanks for these ever more wonderful walks ! The immersion is total, we feels perfectly the atmosphere which emerges from these video !
Thanks for sharing!
Merci 😁
I like the British buildings and the typical windows too
You're just outdoing yourself everytime Sanpo 👏👏👏👏 what a lovely fun, educational walk, I just went and read about Hodge The Cat after you featured that beautiful bronze in this stroll, you are absolutely my fave walker 🚶♀️ thank you again for all your strolls 💕💕💕
Thank you very much Selina! I am glad you liked the captions and information. I thought it was fun to know the back stories as we walk.
Thanks for showing us the hidden places in London, a wonderful walking tour 😊👍
So many interesting buildings. Love London.so clean looking. 🖐
This video has become one of my favorites. I love alleys and secret streets :-) Please, stay safe!!
Loved the bells in the beginning 🔔🇬🇧
Thanks Kimie 🔔🔔🔔
Thank you for all your strolls Sanpo! We've enjoyed every one and always look forward to new ones. Some evenings we watch two! Such a wonderful escape and so peaceful.
Thank you Michelle 😊
¡ EXCELENTE FILMACIÓN!, un recorrido maravilloso por callejones, pasajes, atajos de la City imposible conocer si no se es local o haber vivido mucho allí. Muchas gracias.
Nice walk Sanpo. Keep safe out there 👍
Thanks 👍
Great video and loaded with nice info ! You have definately put a lot of effort into making this, keep up the good work man 🙌🏽
Thank you so much! 😉
Those church bells were absolutely lovely!
When you live in London you sometimes neglect exploring some areas and Fleet St is one of them.
We travel down them on busses and see all Newspaper names but miss some.
Although my family come from Liverpool, I didn't know that the Liverpool Echo had an Office in Fleet Street.
Samuel Johnson was right when he made his famous quote.
I didn't know about The St Brides Institute and it was about printing.
Thank you for a lovely walk Sanpo and the history lesson.
I think the famous quote by Samuel Johnson is "if you`re tired of London you`re tired of life" and I couldn`t agree more
@@Shungabali Totally. Wise words.
True, we pass through Fleet street by bus in a few minuets but there are many stories behind the buildings!
I adore this. I'm so proud to be from London, the world's best city! :)
That was great and thanks the interesting narration, cheers Sanpo :)
Thank you Steve.
Love the cat statue :) Love these videos- thank you!
I love the cat statue too! Thanks for walking with me :)
thank you for sharing, especially in this time of lockdowns and restrictions/ hassle/ high cost to travel. Very clear map shown in front and steady holding of the recording device, and devoid of any noisy narration!
Always interesting seeing a tourist point of view of London.
Very, very well done. The captioning, little snippets of explanations, and all - wonderful. I still have to chuckle at the "hill" in Ludgate Hill. "Incline" seems more appropriate compared to some of the hills I encounter every day where I live. I remember walking to St. Paul's and wondering where the hill was exactly. ("Am I going in the wrong direction?") Again - lovely footage. Wish I could go back.
Thanks for stopping and looking up at the beautiful buildings!
My pleasure. I like to see what is up there as well 😊
Nice video from India 👍
In India few parts of the area constructed by Britishes and nice to know the same kind of architecture they used.
Beautiful buildings and architecture for a beautiful stroll ! Thanks a lot Sanpo ! All the cities look like empty theater stage sets...sad sad times...
What a beautiful.
Thanks Imran.
I watched a video of walking around London for the first time!
I felt like I was walking around the city! Thank you 😊
I don't know how you do it, but you keep on getting better and better and you were pretty good to start with. A visual feast and so educational too - your cc info is very informative.
wow thank you very much! 😊😊😊
Very beautiful buildings! London is wonderful! Greetings from Palma de Mallorca!
Another extremely enjoyable stroll Sanpo, love the old buildings, how beautiful they look. It had to rain again of course! Tuesday here where I live was the best weather we’d had for a good while, sun shone all day and it was the first time I had felt warm since December 24th when our heating broke down. I always look forward to your videos so much, they are so interesting and informative, just the kind of “medicine” I need during these very challenging times. Thank you so very much!!
Hi Jane, I hope your heating has been repaired and you are warm again.
It's been wet and cold hear most days. I am pleased my videos provide some relief. Enjoy 😊
@@sanpostroll2107 Thank you Sanpo, oh yes indeed, your videos bring much respite, when I’m watching them everything else is forgotten!
Hi, just wanted to say your videos are great. I tend to do two to three 3 to 4hr walks a week through London and there's plenty I've missed or places I haven't been to yet, so thanks for the ideas! Also really like all the little notes you had, as I tend to forget half of what I've seen! I did most of this route this morning so next time I do it, I now have extra places to look at so again, thank you.
You are most welcome Daniel. I am so glad you enjoyed the videos and the notes. Happy walking.
17:35 I used to eat my lunch here. I was sitting there while the statue of Hodge was installed.
32:14 St. Martins within Ludgate was the church where the parents of William Penn, who founded Pellsylvania, were married
Hello Sanpo
Great walk. We like the Fleet street and its off shoots. At Saint Georges church is the only outdoor statue of Queen Elizabeth I in London it used to be on the Ludgate. Thanks for the walk. Stay safe. Chris and Sandra if Canada.
Your videos are among the best of their kind. I open a separate window with a map to follow along as "we" walk. I like that you show a lot of the street names and plaques as we go. We visit London at least once a year if not twice (pre covid) and yet there is so much more to see. Thanks for this video.
I am Japanese and have never been to London, but I love the cityscape. I would like to visit London.
Hi Happy new year. Thanks For walk, My friend. 🦋🌹
Happy New Year too Mila. Thank you for walking with me 😉
What a video !!! Brings back memories from summer 2015 when I was in London. There was many wonderful new photo locations also. Thanks a lot and Happy new year too.
Glad to hear this video brought back memories!
I've seen many photographers and instagramers in this area.
First time viewing your channel and luckily picked an interesting walk. Lived in London many years ago and constantly amazed by how little I knew of or had seen of this beautiful city. Very enjoyable watching.
Thanks again Sanpo 👏🏻
Hello, thanks for showing the great video🙏🙏🙏
HERMOSO video me encantó!!!
Thank you for the stroll!
Gracias por poder pasear por
Londres, me encantan tus videos. Descubro lugares que no conocía👍
I love your videos, I can walk around London from my sofa😉 in Spain. I have discovered many hidden places 👏
Thank you Gema. I will try to film more hidden places 😉
As someone who hates monotonous hot weather, I love England's climate, especially the rain.
Nice tour of. London friend
I LOVE LOVE LOVE LONDON, I NEED BACK TO PLACE. ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Thanks for taking us with you for a walk in glorious London's streets to see magnificent monuments. Love from Pakistan.
Thanks again Abdul.
I love my London
Hope, the lovely author of these videos is safe and sound now.❤
you are Very professional in all filming, touring, subtitle and all thanks alot
No problem. Thank you for your kind words!
i love London and its antiquity
Very good camera work nice and steady ... good for old eyes :-) ... you picked the best time to make this video as normally full of people and much noisier ... congratulations on your video ... I enjoyed it very much ... thanks for making it.
Thank you so much :)
Great tour today my friend
I was a Journalist for print and Radio in those days and it is satisfying to see Fleet Street. Sanpo, you are doing a wonderful job. Thank you.
Glad you enjoyed this walk and it brought back memories.
Excellent
Hey sanpo great walk love it
Thanks Andy.
Memories.
I know this area well as I often stayed in Lincoln’s Inn which is close by. A fascinating area full of surprises. Thanks
Lovely, as alaways! When I have days not so great, I « walk » with you across London and feel great. Thank you.
I am so glad you have been enjoying my London walks :) :)
❤ thank you
You're welcome 😊
Very good video
Another great walk, thank you. I've heard it said that the spire of St. Bride's Church gave a baker the inspiration for the tiered design of his wedding cake - not too sure if it's true!
Thank you finesunset. I hadn't heard about the wedding cake baker. Does look like a wedding cake :-)
HiHappy new year... Another great walk, thanks
Happy New Year Will, hope you have a great 2021!
Very good. Thank you. John in London.
Thank you John.
Hello! We love your walls walks through London but stay safe during COVID! Love from Canada ❤🇨🇦❤

Thank you, you too!
Love those hidden little passages through the main streets.
And have you noticed the Sanpo’s logo hanging on the wall on minute 27.22 ? 🤣
😂😂
I didn't realise. It does look like me!
Thanks for walk
Thanks for visiting!
Lovely! Reminds me so much of my time in London. Would you ever do a Victoria Park area walk?
I haven't done Victoria Park yet, but it's on my visiting list 😉
❤❤❤❤❤
Thanks looking lovely hay from sunny TEL-AVIV ISRAEL
Шикарный город
ماشاءاللہ 💖💚
Enjoyable walk with useful captions, although personally I prefer the narrated walks. Surprised you did not look along Old Bailey (off Ludgate Hill) the address of the Central Criminal Court. The best known criminal court in the UK. Keep up the good work,
Thank you very much Robert. I have included the Old Bailey in a previous video so I didn't include in this video.

A good video as usual, at the east end of Fleet Street there was a railway bridge, and in a radius of 1 km, ie, fleet street, east and west, tobacconists selling cuban premium cigars, now all are shut, do you do your research before or after, in context, streets, roads, etc.!
From here in the Andes mountains it looked wonderful. As soon as it came into view I recognized Dr.Samuel Johnson's house from having read an illustrated book 45 years ago written by Samuel Pepys. I'm so proud of myself. Too bad about that old building that had to be rebuilt and replaced by some new fangled thing in the 1600's eh? Seriously though, this walk brought up emotions that were not on the front burner. Thank you thank you.
p.s. Was that an early Sunday morning stroll?
You are welcome g nolan. This was filmed during lockdown on a Tuesday lunchtime.
Love your videos! How did you go about making your map animations in the intros?
Thank you :) I use JavaScript to generate the map and animation then put into video editing software.

I have never seen it so quiet in front of the RCJ. Pre-Covid, there were always people protesting one thing or another. Wish you had visited Temple Church, it is fascinating place!
I will include Temple Church next time I visit the area.
I went back to film the Temple area but unfortunately I couldn’t access the Temple Church this time. I will try in the future again.
Fleet Street was known from the 14-15th centuries onwards for being the publication center by Caxton and Wynkyn
Good morning my friend
Good morning!
A ghost town!
The best thing about London walking down the side streets its like another world!
So Nice 💘💘💘💘💘💘
