    Hey! I see you have applied for "FWS eligible" jobs as well. Are Indian/Foreign students eligible for such part time jobs as well though?
    Also, how did you manage getting
    LORs for such a heavy amount of applications? If you could shed some light on that.
    Great content by the way!

      Hey I just blatantly applied to everything but here's more info on FWS (students.asu.edu/employment/types)
      You do not need LORs for applications. You just need to put down the information of your references (Name, Email, etc.) They will only (that too in some rare cases) reach out to them after you are selected for the role.

    What does this means ?? In A.S.U website eligibility criteria. Should I take last 4th sem credits ?? (5th sem-18 ,6th sem-22 ,7th sem -14 ,8tg sem 16)
    In our college we have total 140 credits

    Hello! I have a question! I'm planning to join ASU next fall as a bachelor's (I'm an Indian) but I'm not sure if a part-time can cover both my rent and groceries per month, and be manageable with my studies. Supposing I share a room, will it be enough?

    • @abirbhattacharjee5227
      @abirbhattacharjee5227  Před 7 měsíci

      If you're working 20 hours, your income should cover your living costs plus groceries. (If you're sharing a room, your income will be > total expenses)
      And yes it should be manageable with studies. It's just 20 hours a week.

    • @abirbhattacharjee5227
      @abirbhattacharjee5227  Před rokem

      I would recommend connecting to people who studied MS in SE in these schools and learning about the prospects.
      NEU's co-op program might have an edge, so it seems to me NEU > ASU > RIT (but please check with people who are actually doing SE in these schools)

    Hi , very informative video I have a doubt regarding status of application. I got under review status for two of my application. So should I wait for a call back or there will they send a mail? And usually what will be the wait time?
    Thank you in advance

    • @abirbhattacharjee5227
      @abirbhattacharjee5227  Před 11 měsíci +1

      No you shouldn't wait. Under-review does not ensure a callback and mostly ends up in a reject email. So carry on with your applications.
      Wait time can be variable depending on the department - sometimes I receive reject emails of applications that were done 1 month ago.

    Hi, it would be really helpful if you could provide the following information:
    1. For all on-campus roles are we allowed to work for full 20hrs/week? If so, is it manageable to work for 20 hrs a week and manage our studies too. (Taking into consideration if doing 9-12 credits per sem)
    2. What is FWS and can we apply for jobs that say (FWS Eligible) ?
    3. My campus is Poly campus so will it be difficult to travel to different campuses for on-campus jobs due to the distance?
    4. Does the part-time jobs and class timings clash?
    Thank you in Advance :)

    • @abirbhattacharjee5227
      @abirbhattacharjee5227  Před rokem +1

      1. Yes; And yes it's manageable.
      2. No. (Check for more details here students.asu.edu/employment/types)
      3. Yes it's a bit far. However most people from IT and SE (Poly) live in Tempe and work in Tempe ; they just go to Poly for classes.
      4. No. You will be given the choice to plan your schedule while joining (for most jobs)

    • @abirbhattacharjee5227
      @abirbhattacharjee5227  Před rokem

      Add your manager at work or any mentor at internship/part time role etc if you haven't worked full time before.
      You can also add faculties under whom you have done projects, etc.
      Most roles wouldn't actually need recommendations from these references but in some cases they might so just make sure that the people you're adding as references will send an email to the employer if required.
