Town of Salem is a social deduction game similar to Among us and Goose Goose Duck. Among Us/Goose Goose Duck allows you to play the game with up to 4-15 players, Town of Salem allows up to 15 players in a single game.
Like Among Us/Goose Goose Duck, you can be good or evil with factions such as Town, Mafia and Neutrals. Among/Goose Goose Duck us has 2 roles (without mods), town of salem has 33 different characters in the base game. Town of Salem is a great alternative to Among Us/Goose Goose duck if you're looking for another game in the social deduction genre. I like helping jests, go out of my way to help jests and make everyone win but not at my own cost obviously.
I've seen this scenario too many times actually, there's a confirmed evil whispering jest after he got voted up, and what usually happens is everyone innos (not because of the whisper, just because they're apprehensive about dying to jest), the jest acts sad, they vote him up again and then they guilty, leading to an evil win. It's kind of annoying.
Yes but in this case it’s no way Pipe loses he can’t be ignited next night or haunted if voting inno Arso just did too so Arso messed up tbh but yeah jest did nothing to deserve win so I would have just hung Arso as well
Jesters that don’t get lynched before d6 and just go for the pity lynch don’t deserve it
yeah, standards should be that evils help jester win if jest can help them win, or that town gives jester a win if evils obviously lost.
This is a game that could only grant a jester win if either Arso or Mayor didnt inno, and both would need to inno for the sake of their own win. Arso should have guiltied the first time and ignite to make it a 1v1. That was the way for Jester to win and for Town to still have a chance.
Yet, Arso pretty much demanded the (unknown) mayor to also vote guilty. Basically meaning that, without the info of Mayor, town would lose by letting jester win.
If theres 5 people, with 1 evil, 1 jest, and 3 town, jester should never be voted up unless there is a roleblocker.

Here's the deal thought. Jester owes no one anything. Nor anyone owes them anything back. That was borderline throwing for town for not simply voting out the arso because they wanted to give a neutral (that could and would kill them) a win. Game is not called charity.
Yeah if invest and one other/pipe was ignited and jest killed pipe/another it was throwing imo
Jester is IMO one of the easiest roles in ToS.

@@Zagiman72 I don't think it was a confirmed win if they voted jest. If jest killed pipe and arso ignited the invest (8) who had doused himself the night before, then it's a LO v arso.
It sucks for jest, but ultimately town needs to work towards their own win condition. Risking their own victory is kinda a throw.
Edit: nevermind, sorry, if pipe innoed that would have been confirmed win. Still don't think jest deserved that since they were blatantly siding against the town whowere giving them the win
town doesn't owe jester a win, especially when jester is blatantly working with evil 🙄

i dont get it when people try to give jest the win for free, they gotta deserve it...
yeah especially when they were whispering confirmed arso, even saying "'why can't i be a weapon for town, Maf, or Coven" and innoing jugg the day before, they they outed themselves as a wild card.

Holy crap! I was in the game you were Consort. I was number 3 Fire. I feel less bad about losing this one now knowing that I was up against Pipe with all his experience. I've been playing less than a month and still have trouble at times keeping all the info straight.
Watching pipe's video motivates me to play for like 6 hours nonstop and get one very epic game but then I lose the first game n3 and all of that goes to -----
Even if you play incredibly you can still lose due to the RNG aspect of the game (as pipe does sometimes), don't beat yourself up about it, gg next :)

I think the best thing about Town of Salem videos is that even when i've already seen them I know that in a few months i'll forget what happens in them and I can rewatch them xd I watch a video or an old video almost every time I eat so thank you for the basically endless amount of content pipe!
My best game of tos was when I didnt claim mayor the whole game and somehow ended up in a 1v1 with werewolf and voted him off. He thought I was a vig with no bullets because the real one got forged and I stole the claim and he left me for last

"Never claim escort as consort." I disagree. The only real reason to avoid doing that is spies. There are plenty of times where claiming escort will get you instantly confirmed, and willdivert attention off of you. And you can even push townies as being mafia if your RB someone the same night your mafioso hits an immune.
That being said, I would only ever use escort as a backup claim when playing consort, for all of the reasons that Pipe mentions. But saying that you should NEVER claim escort is not super reasonable, in my opinion.
The only way town lost game 1 is Jester killing Mayor there, I would have been all for hanging Jester there. I don't think 8 was clocked in that game. Outing you early, checking clear Arso, inno'ing Jest for 2-2 when Mayor clearly innos. Definitely felt like they weren't really there mentally at the time.

@@lorathian that he did, I skimmed it the first time so I missed it. Chat in some games does go very fast. So he got mayor results and than outed him as mayor. While that does help protect the mayor from getting lynched it also marks them as a major target. It is quite a gamble to make.

I just had an all any game where the Jester gets the solo win.
I was consig that found him and recruited him to help maf.
Two mafia members died on the same night from veteran and werewolf.
I was the only mafia left and I found the arso. I got everyone to vote up the arso and died that night to werewolf.
It came down to Vet - Jester - Werewolf. They decided to vote out the jester.
The jester attacked the vet to give ww the win but ww attacked the vet who alerted.
Pipe should take a strong stance against this whole "Let the jester win" and "Oh let the surv be" nonsense dude, it wastes time and the very least (for jesters) and at the very worst throws the game. This game, sure, Mayor being guranteed to survive is fine but Pipe should've just revealed to prove a point from the start lmao.
That second game was so satisfying, esp with survivor managing to figure out you’re maf so they teamed up with you

I mean 6 outted themselves so badly at 8:13 and literally no one saw their will. Only has N3 after their name. 6 was an obvious evil there. 12 was right about town not paying attention but he wasn't paying attention either.
It wasn't outting themselves at all. They just put night 3 first because that was the first night they could've used something if they were a retri. A bit sus, sure, but it makes sense.
I did the same, i was silent mayor, made it to day 7 till i got singled out. I got so mad i started voting kills till we won

That first game could have been way more satisfying if you would have played up to the arso and hung the jest. It would have been a 1v1 the next day if you would have innod and you could have revealed to lynch the arso then.
