The Irony of the situation in the is that the leaders that make noise in the social media, television houses even the national assemblies dwell on issues that create more division in the country. The elders the elite that in opposition with ruling partly focus on criticizing the government for insecurity in the nation whereas the headquarters for the insecurity is in the north with branches now all over the country. This one thing the people from that part of the country have not accepted. If the president declare a state of emergency in that part of the country to rush out the bandits, kidnappers and terrorists from the forest in an out war, they will be the first to accuse the president for genocide. The President is surrounded by leaders from Northern Nigeria in his administration and they also are not showing any sign of educating their own people on what needs to be done. The mess can never be settled with sentiments, therefore the president perhaps need to have discussion with all the leaders, elders in the the states where all these killings are taken place and warn them of a potential state of emergency that would replace the current approach by the military if there is not initiative amongst themselves to resolve the issues in the north. They need to stop putting emphasis that have no bearing of dealing with the insecurity in the nation. I have seen the leaders from that region question the priority in the most recent talk about project concerning the Lagos Calabar coastal highway as if the country should forgo long term development of the nation at the expense of the un-ruling attitude of the few in the nation. Norther, elders, northern politician, norther governor forum, Northern youths , businessmen and religious leaders, the solution to the killings taking place in the northern part of the country, is a task you must addressed, because the Federal government has a the entire country and it can only succeed in carrying out its function with the cooperation of all of you and with the rest Nigerians. Take the approach of charity begins out home top deal with this issue. The issue between the herders and the farmers that was discussed in the national assembly last week can be mutually addressed with sentiments aside.
