- Engineers at NASA’s Marshall Space Flight Center in Huntsville, Alabama, completed a subscale booster motor test Sept. 14 in Marshall’s East Test Area. The 24-inch booster produced more than 82,000 pounds of thrust. It is the third test in an ongoing series supporting development of an upgraded booster design with alternative nozzle and insulation materials for SLS (Space Launch System) flights after Artemis VIII. Marshall manages the SLS Program.

The scorched ground at the end is awesome! Looking forward to the future of SLS and Artemis!
me too. I just hope that it doesn't take so long that it will become useless once cheaper alternatives are available. barring any major delays in the program or a cancellation, i think we should see atleast 5 launches from the artemis program. by 2030s there will probably be better alternative rocket systems developed for lunar missions.
@@hamzahkhan8952 I agree, especially that considering NASA itself put out a report saying SLS is unsustainable, it will be replaced by at least 2030. Doesn't mean that I don't love the big orange rocket!
I love the rocket too. its nice to see space shuttle hardware flying again (especially the RS-25 engines and SRBs)@@Kerballistic
Wow, that was awesome!! Will any High speed footage be released? Love those high speed camera shots! Cool test!
*_LOADED_* Me too SRM, me too.
LOL @ the trees wobbling across the road. They're like "WTF mate?!"
One heck of a weed wacker!
Is this part of the booster obsolescence and life extension program?

Who decided to use Thomas the Train colors?
Really! Cant u do that in the desert instead of a nice green place!
