    Dear Bishop Barron,
I was born early in the pontificate of St. John Paul the Great, but was a pretty lazy, disengaged Catholic until late in the pontificate of Pope emeritus Benedict XVI, when by the grace of God I woke up. Thank you, Your Excellency, for continuing to shed light on the rich, vast, & deep treasury of graces & knowledge available to us through the Church, the wisdom of spiritual masters not only past but also present.

Fr Barron, your videos have been so enlightening and wonderful to listen to, esp on my way to and from work. I would love to see a video where you discuss providence, what it is, what it isnt, and how we know it to be true. Thank you 🙏

Wonderful summation, and this timely reminder (even if it is a few years old) inspired me to pick up the second volume in Weigel's trilogy, The End and the Beginning. Thank you.

Bishop Baron thank you, loved JP2 quite spontaneously and it never wavers .You are a great asset to the Catholic Church. Just two things that I find hard to come to terms with, JP's attempted assassination JP's awful illness towards the end of his life. I cannot personally come to terms with it as God's will for him and also why those who were responsible for the attempt on his life have never been exposed.?

One of my favorite things about John Paul II was his work and dedication to young people. As a kid growing up throughout the 80s and 90s into the 2000s (I wasn't even 22 when he passed), JPII was almost like a mythical hero in some ways - a fortress of the Christian faith in a culture and country where suit clad, fire breathing televangelists in large auditoriums were the order of the day. Then years later, I discovered a book called Way to Christ: Spiritual Exercises by him. A small little book, its a transcription of talks he gave as a cardinal to, of course, kids at a youth retreat. Its like you're gathered with him at a camp as he talks to you. Its one of the countless ways that JPII lives on.

    Dear Fr. Barron,
You are a great inspiration. If you ever have the time, could you please do a video on Game of Thrones and a response to the video made by “The Vortex”, where the host of “The Vortex” criticized your views on hell and that we might reasonably hope that everyone will be saved. I would also be grateful for recommendations to young Catholics who are considering studying philosophy and theology about where to study and how to deal with secularist demands of the professors at a university.
    Bless you
    Ieva

Bishop Barron,On the 31st October, two days ago as I write these lines, humanity celebrated the 500 th years of reformation; wouldn't you like to drop some words about an event that ended up changing and shaping anew (through counter-reformation) your own religious world?Thank you in advance.

Incredible how they focus.on pope's and dead saints and confessions to priests, the division between the laity and the heirachial system. Jesus opened up the temple veil, that no.man.or priest could enter. Now its all not just the high priests.

I have never read George Weigel even if he seems to be a great writer. I know that he has written about both St. John Paul II and Pope Benedict XVI. Nice commentary on the book by the way. I only read one biography about St. John Paul II and it is not as long as "Witness to Hope". God bless you, Bishop Barron.

I am sorry you have never commented on Jonathan Kwitny's biography of John Paul II Man of the Century. Kwitny was a prize-winning, Jewish journalist who wrote for the Wall Street Journal and who died too young of cancer. His wife, through their contact with JPII, converted to Catholicism. She had too young children when her husband died. Weigel's book has garnered all the accolades, but, rightly or wrongly, I associate him with neo-conservatism and trying to make Catholicism American - and i don't think it is.

John Paul II, General Audience, Dec. 27, 1978 -
“Jesus is the Second Person of the Holy Trinity become a man; and
therefore in Jesus, human nature and therefore the whole of humanity, is
redeemed, saved, ennobled to the extent of participating in ‘divine life’
    by means of Grace.”
    John Paul II, Redemptoris Missio (# 4), Dec. 7, 1990 -

When and if you receive the Holy Spirit, all those books behind you will have no value to you anymore, except the Father of all books, The Bible. You are not teaching people how to get saved, you are only teaching them how to be good Catholics. God speaks to your conscience every day. leave this corrupt religious system that tortured and slaughtered millions of innocent people for more than a 1000 years during the middle ages. Jesus said.....for what profits a man if he gains the whole world but loses his own soul?. Have no fear of losing your position and reputation. may God open your eyes to see the truth.

Blah Blah Blah are your hundreds of videos that are based on your Catholic Religious Tradition. the power of the Rosary?, and praying to Mary 70 times a day?, its not even a prayer, its what Angel Gabriel said to Mary. u still believe that?. Jesus said...don't repeat your prayers like pagans do. Mr Barron, you sound like a little boy influenced by his religious mother, and not the Holy Spirit. wake up and grow up Mr Barron.

@@dabasha66 Be very very careful in your strict fundamentalist beliefs. Do not grieve the Holy Spirit by denigrating the Church Church and its dogma. The Catholic Church is the one true Church founded by our Lord Jesus when he called Peter the Rock and on this rock The Lord will build his Church. Peter is the first pope. Know these words "By their fruits you shall know them", your fruit is full of hate and rotton spoilage, not of the Holy Spirit.
