  • You might ask, is a windscreen worth getting for a naked bike? In my case, yes it is. It might not look the best but hey, only a Ducati has an actual good looking naked bike. The rest look like robots, sify creatures or insects. This is not a review but what actually workie for me

    Hi I’m the guy who started the windscreen thread on the forum, and introduced this very screen to the community, thanks for making a video for it, never got around to it

      lol..thats cool and you are welcome. It looked a little odd but it sure did help. Yeah i didn't have the bike long enough to join a forum. Think i had it for about 3 maybe 4 months and got rid of it. It was fun but i really got tired of planning my rides around gas stations😆.

      @@BigDaveTALKS I hear you about the gas thing, In my group I ride with everyone sarcastically looks at me when they ask has everyone fueled up lol, I’m usually the deciding factor of when we stop for gas lol

      😂😆 Man I know the feeling. With my new bike i can get almost 300 miles to the tank. With 8 gallons on the Multistrada I really had to get used to passing multiple gas stations before actually needing gas. It's awesome because not only can i hit the twisties at a decent clip, I can also get off the beaten path. Which is what i do most of the time now.

    Most definitely need a windscreen especially at speed. That wind will really tire you out faster pushing on you.

      It is actually not too bad with out the windscreen till i get up to 100. My V Rod was horrible though. I would be wore out after 50 miles

      Man i wish i knew, that was 3 motorcycles ago. What i do remember is that it was for a Z900 and i just had to drill 2 holes and it fit perfect.

    I have a 2023 ZH2. Was this one flashed and tuned? I don't know what it is but I've got the thing in full power mode and I cannot get the front wheel off the ground. Unless I'm just not giving it enough throttle I don't know...

    • @BigDaveTALKS
      @BigDaveTALKS  Před 8 měsíci

      No tune just the slip on. You are giving it too much gas if you can’t lift the front. The TC Will recognize it and say NOPE. So if you were to turn off the TC, you would definitely loop it out. Just roll it on, the bike has enough power to do what ever ya want. You just have to learn that throttle control and have the TC on level 1

      Yeah man I have all that stuff turned off at least I think I do I know I have it in full power but I don't know about traction control I'll have to look into it again. Right now I'm recovering from a broken leg so it'll be a while before I try it 🤣🤣

    • @BigDaveTALKS
      @BigDaveTALKS  Před 8 měsíci

      @eguerrae75 Oh dang, that sucks. No you don’t have it turned off. If you did we wouldn’t be having this conversation. That bike has so much torque it’s ridiculous. I turned mine off ONCE. It was like riding a unicycle through 4th gear. And that was just rolling the throttle on. The rider aids are really good in keeping the bike on the ground when the rider gives too much power. Trust me you don’t need to turn it off. Just put in TC 1, full power and have fun

      Awesome Well when I turn it on again I'll open up the manual. I don't know about anyone else but the display getting used to it is confusing. Adjusting the settings I mean

      Yeah I thought it was confusing till I got a Ducati Multistrada🤯. Now nothing is complicated 😄.

    Which phone mount do you have? I cant find one that actually fits lol.

    • @BigDaveTALKS
      @BigDaveTALKS  Před 2 lety +1

      I had a couple. But the base never changed. The one I still use is the Ram Mount. I did have to get the longer extension for the Z though.
      I was lucky and found a Ram Mount knock off and it was cheaper and just as good. Unfortunately they don’t make them anymore. They probably got sued by Ram mount 🤣.
      Oh, i did have a quad lock but my buddies and a lot of other people started having camera issues with their phone. So i got rid of it. I haven’t had any issues with the camera on my phone using the ram mount. I have also never lost the phone. Heck i even clamped it to my dirt bike and went on the trails. Even that didn’t bounce the phone out of the holder

    • @Turbo495
      @Turbo495 Před 2 lety +1

      @@BigDaveTALKS thats actually funny lol. I bought the ram because I couldn't find anything else that would work. Unfortunately I have the smaller arm. I also tried tightening the stem part and all it does is spin lol. I'm gonna take it to my shop and mess with it. Thanks for the feed back tho!

    • @BigDaveTALKS
      @BigDaveTALKS  Před 2 lety +1

      Oh, I forgot about that. Yeah I wrapped a little bit of electrical tape on the end. That way it would grab and with it being electrical tape it will stretch

    How bad is mpg

    • @BigDaveTALKS
      @BigDaveTALKS  Před 2 lety

      I was getting 27 MPG doing 75 MPH. It didn’t matter if i would ride conservative or even in a different power mode.
      On my ZX14R, i would get about 38 MPG @ 75 MPH. Even funnier, i would get 32 MPG @ 110 MPH.
