- Tennessee has enjoyed QB success with Hendon Hooker and Joe Milton back to back, but redshirt freshman QB Nico Iamaleava has a chance to be even better and lead Tennessee football back to the college football playoff. Don’t have to hype Nico. That boy is the truth. 100%. I heard from some people around the program that he was better than Joe when he stepped on campus last year before we played Clemson in the Orange Bowl. Tayven Jackson saw Nico and said to hell with this, no way I’m beating him out. And he transferred. The writing was on the wall for him. They all knew he was the truth. Period. Go Big Orange. If he would’ve had some help from his receivers in the bowl game against Iowa his stats would’ve been even better. 2 drops where he puts the ball on the absolute money and a deep ball the dropped in the bucket, all his receiver had to do was run under it but he stopped mid route and just let the ball fall.
Just submitted my application for utk, and I'm on my way, I already got ncaa eligibility and am ready to walk on for football. It's time to be put on notice,here I come, knoxville.

Nico has the talent around him on offense to take this team the distance. The secondary will determine how far this team goes. Nico will be the biggest name in CFB next year.

Special young talent, TN will compete for an SEC title this year.
Vols should make the playoffs this year for sure. Vols get Missouri, Bama, Florida, and Kentucky at Neyland. I could see a 2 loss Vol team make the playoff and I’m not 100% convinenced that Vols lose to Oklahoma on the road.
@XlSlick oh you are right! I see 3 possible losses with Alabama, Georgia, and Oklahoma. Florida usually gives us trouble so you never know but with them losing the talent I feel good about it at home.

He's great but with Texas now in the conference, can we really say he's better than young Manning? I think Tennessee could have gotten Manning but I'm happy with Nico. Let's just hope we have the receivers that can be like Hyatt and Tillman. Otherwise it may be a Joe Milton repeat this year. Also he is a small frame guy so let's hope he can stay healthy and we can continue to recruit 5* QBs
