I don’t actually go to that server, I just go report him to that server. When I ban a cheater they get banned off about 30 orgs and 100+ servers

As someone who has played since 2014 and has almost 5k hours in this game, seeing these little wiener cheaters get heated is hilarious and satisfying. I literally went up to a cheater's base a few months ago and said "Human being to human being....why do you cheat?" and after a 30min conversation, the most interesting thing he told me was that he pays $150 a MONTH to cheat....in a game that originally cost $10. It's insane. Thank you for all you do, keep up the work man!

I think it's good that he makes this from time to time. It affirms everyone he's legit. Meanwhile, there are shitheads who try to imitate comomo but end up abusing players for "content" that no one will watch. Especially "lowpop monthly servers for noobs". Avoid these, most of them are owned by psychos lol
@@gdgd5194 Also I still think there are false positives in Camomo's videos. I understand that some of the time actual cheaters manage to get server banned but not game banned, but there have been cases where after the interrogation it turned out that they weren't cheating. Part of the issue is that cheaters will say whatever they can to try to not get banned, so if you're falsely accused he'll just assume you're lying and literally won't even listen to you.
I don't play rust, bc my wife would never let me spend that much money or time on a gaming PC, but I still love watching vids here. And I'm pretty appreciative of the periodic explanations hence I don't fully understand the mechanics of the game. So yeah, don't worry about dropping any of your secrets, but thanks for the info you can spare. Keep on doing what you do you legends.

Just found your channel last night. I play rust solo/offline (idk why, I just really like the PvE). But watching what you do is really awesome as someone who plays other fps games on occasion. Cheaters are extremely frustrating and I appreciate you keeping the playing field level for those who do play online servers.

There's only so many tools available, and they exploit the same handful of issues. It's simply more cost effective to exploit those issues and distribute the software to idiots who don't care if they get banned. It's a business.

When you remove the ability to do damage, is it permanent, or can it be rested with a re-log?
It would be fun if it was permanent and you could let them stay on so that other players have a lot of target practice. (To make sure other admins don't give them the abilities back, have a note on their accounts)
Edit: then again if they have ESP they can still be a royal pain for other players.

That provoked a snowball of noobs who didn't understand how that check worked and they'd be like "omagad, I sometimes hit x at night too!!! bad ban!!". Whenever someone doubts comomo, I think of that one ':D

Tf? That sounds like a 70 yo elderly blaming video games. Not sure if you realize, but those behaviors are their parents' fault. Their parents either neglect 'em or abuse 'em, then they think it's funny to mock other people and bring 'em down 'cause they can't cope in a healthy way.
If this wasn't a video game and camomo wasn't recording, that moron could literally ruin camomo's reputation or his self-esteem. Seriously, I've dealt with that kind of scumbag behavior when I was 8-10 yo (I'm an adult now, btw. Hope you don't think I'm 12 or something) and other kids would often gaslight me or provoke me in order to make me say awful stuff or they'd lie if they didn't get what they wanted, which would get me in trouble either way (this exclusively happened at school, btw.)
"It only assists the cheater" the most nonsense sentence I've ever heard in the gaming community. From DayZ to Rust to Minecraft, to every sandbox PVP multiplayer there currently is. AnarchyHD is a prime example. To top it off, Rust gives some of thee most in-depth player tracking data available, not only to the development team as well as the admins that run community servers, even players themselves can access this data.
There have been multiple, powerful community tools created that harness this data for it to be used to come to a pretty concrete decision whether a player was cheating or not considering the wealth of data that the game offers.
- From being able to re-simulate the animator on the fly and collisions to well define object clipping.
- Hit radials that are accurate to 3" to scale to confirm every type of PVP botting.
- Anti-ESP; Ghost hitscan: Ghost hitscan basically duplicates the instance of a player firing in-which the world has no collision objects minus other players, so if cheater A shoots at a wall in a way that would hit player B if there wasn't a solid object there, CheatPunch stacks a determination against them which builds up over the lifespan of an account.
The list goes on
The reason most "admins" don't show proof because there is no solid proof, instead an admins ego gets rubbed wrong or they think they look bad infront of the community for being trashed on and instead whip out the almighty hammer.
It does not "teach" new cheaters how to use their cheats efficiently because it doesn't matter how efficiently they use them, there is enough statistical data pulled from each player to solidly confirm if they are cheating or not. Hence why there are so many other content creators that even base their channels on exposing cheaters in the middle of their exploits.
To anyone that believed this guy, if you are a fan, you're buying into this story at a nostalgic level, you're buying into it at a fan level, because it's something you enjoy, not because it's true.
If this comment get's deleted, a relatively sized aussie friend on youTube is making a video about this point in the coming month after it creeped up in the recommended, along with data analytics from in-game, understanding of CheatPunch and why the statement this video is making makes no sense, so keep you eyes peeled!

Everytime when I look at yer videos mate oof it brings back memories for me when I use to moderate servers in my time. Is good for the things ya do as well it makes sense not to show proof they are cheating from experience I seen happen alot including knowing they are cheating but you see stuff like the information and stuff including like usernames and etc. . But very happy for your work on destroying cheaters not only for rust but the whole gaming community to show they can mods or admins you don't want to mess with
