K J/K I tried when I was a teenager and it was the same way then just went on practicing. Last night I looked it up and within 30mins had the first part down 100%. I just couldn't figure out the timing to the chourus which is why I looked up this video. Keep practicing and and you'll eventually be able to hear a song and figure it out relatively quickly. Don't try to learn stuff that's too advanced before you get the basics down really tight. Practicing everyday going through the chromatic scale up and down the neck different ways and with every scale variation i know with a metronome is what really made me a confident guitar player. Just practicing the basics correctly will make a huge difference in your playing. It's about learning things correctly, solidly and accurately rather than as fast as possible. If your passionate about guitar practice passionately not loosely. Hope that helps in some way, i wish I'd heard that years ago.

There is an easier way, slide back to the same notes on the 5th and 4th strings so you don't have to overstretch on the 8th fret
